Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
Helios Fury is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as heliosfury. The live help we inspected is dated 24 July 2024 and marked version 2.0.2; the official release record dates the game to 6 October 2021. The rules describe five reels by three rows with 99 connected ways in the base game, expanding to five by five and 259 ways in Fury Free Spins. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 96.27%, equivalent to a 3.73% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.
The v2.0.2 rules set a 50,000x cap on the completed game round. Re-spins and Fury Free Spins attached to the initiating bet settle inside that same ceiling. No universal minimum or maximum stake is stated in the checked help, so deployed denominations must be read in the operator client. The risk profile is not stated in the checked live help; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

One game, two punctuation forms
Release status and exact Helios Fury identity
Relax Gaming released Helios Fury on 6 October 2021 and still lists it in the Own Games catalogue. The loaded client and its help render the title as Helios' Fury. The product URL, game ID heliosfury and matching rules establish that these punctuation forms refer to the same release.
This canonical uses the product-page spelling and the requested search task. It does not create a second apostrophe URL. Consolidating both forms protects the exact entity while avoiding duplicate RTP, rules or demo pages.
The help opened on 6 October 2026 is dated 24/07/2024 and marked version 2.0.2. It supplies the current numbers used here. The 2021 launch announcement establishes the release date and feature context but does not override the newer operational help.
The official client ran with FUN credits under a general jurisdiction parameter. It proves a responsive help interface and the game's rule sequence, not a real-money listing for a New Zealand player.
Paths through adjacent positions
How the 99 connected ways pay
The base game uses five reels and three rows. A winning path needs the same symbol on at least three adjacent reels from the leftmost reel. Each next symbol can be on the same row, one row above or one row below the previous position.
That adjacency creates 99 possible connected ways rather than straight paylines. A symbol on the top row of reel one can connect to the middle row on reel two, then back to the top or continue through the middle on reel three.
The game pays the longest unique connected way for each symbol. Multiple matching positions can create separate valid paths, but shorter prefixes of a longer identical path are not added as separate wins.
Wild substitutes for all paying symbols. It does not have an independent payout; a full Wild way uses the value of the highest normal symbol. Wild placement also starts the game's re-spin logic, so substitution and movement are resolved together.
Winning Wilds travel right
Wild re-spins before the bonus
When a Wild participates in a connected-way win, it moves one reel to the right and awards a re-spin. If a later result again wins with that Wild, it moves right again. The sequence continues while a winning Wild remains involved.
Wilds can appear on reels one through four. If several are visible when a re-spin is awarded, only the Wilds actually used in a win move right. Other Wilds leave the grid before the next evaluation rather than staying as passive substitutes.
A re-spin sequence stops if no Wild participates in a win. It also ends its base-game phase when a winning Wild reaches reel five, because that event starts Fury Free Spins. Merely landing or moving onto reel five without being part of the qualifying win should not be described as a separate Scatter trigger.
The stake remains locked across the sequence. A re-spin is not an option to double the wager and the direction of movement is fixed. Prior misses do not make a future Wild path more likely to survive.
Win on reel five
How Fury Free Spins begin
Six Fury Free Spins are triggered when a win includes a Wild in any position on reel five. This is the culmination of the Wild movement mechanic, not a count of three Scatter symbols.
At entry, the game expands from three to five rows. That creates 259 connected ways across the same five reels. A starting Wild is placed in the centre of reel one, giving the feature a defined opening position.
The additional rows change the number of possible paths, but they do not alter the rule that a connected way starts on reel one and continues through adjacent reel positions. The feature remains connected-ways play rather than an all-ways or scatter-pay grid.
The buy route initiates Fury Free Spins immediately without the base re-spin trigger. Natural and bought entry lead to the documented feature, but the purchased route is a different wager with its own cost and RTP.
Locked ships and moving hotspots
Wild persistence and extra-spin rules
Wild symbols remain on the grid for the duration of Fury Free Spins. A Wild involved in a win moves one reel to the right. Once it reaches the rightmost available position on its row, it stays there.
Each row has a hotspot that begins at its right edge. When a Wild reaches that rightmost available position, one extra spin is awarded. If another Wild already occupies the final reel on the same row, the next position to its left becomes the rightmost available target.
Each new Wild that lands also adds one spin. The two extension routes are therefore different: one rewards a new Wild entering the board, while the other rewards an existing Wild reaching the row's active hotspot.
Locked Wilds can narrow the available path along a row while also increasing substitution coverage. Their persistence does not guarantee that normal symbols will connect from reel one. Extra spins extend the number of evaluations but do not promise a minimum total win.
90× entry price
Route-specific return and 50,000x settlement
The checked purchase costs 90 times the regular bet and states 97.00% theoretical RTP. The base game help states 96.27%. These are route-specific long-run averages, not percentages to combine into one universal figure.
Paying 90× enters Fury Free Spins immediately. It does not pre-load a particular number of Wilds beyond the feature's standard opening rule and does not guarantee that extra-spin conditions will be met.
The completed round is capped at 50,000 times the initiating bet. Re-spins, Free Spins and extra spins belonging to that round share the limit. A hypothetical result above the threshold settles at the cap under the rules.
The purchase can be unavailable in a market or operator client. Its appearance in the official FUN demo does not establish permission or availability in New Zealand. If a live help panel shows another percentage, price or version, use that deployed record.
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 96.27%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 3.73%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Base game in official demo | 96.27% | Verified in help: 24 July 2024 |
| Fury Free Spins purchase | 97.00% | Applies only to the documented paid route where available |
A return of 96.27% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 96.27 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 96.27% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
The Fury Free Spins purchase is mathematically separate in the checked help: it states 97.00% RTP and costs 90× the reference bet. That route can be unavailable in some markets or excluded by an operator. Its published return does not make the option affordable or reduce the possibility of losing the full price.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
The current help does not give Helios Fury a formal volatility level or publish feature frequency. Moving Wilds, retriggering spins and a 50,000× ceiling can make outcomes uneven, but that is a description of mechanics rather than a provider rating.
The v2.0.2 rules set a 50,000x cap on the completed game round. Re-spins and Fury Free Spins attached to the initiating bet settle inside that same ceiling. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the scale easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
The help verifies a 90× regular-bet price for the optional Fury Free Spins purchase, but it does not establish one universal denomination range. Check the active total bet and route price in the exact client before any paid action.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Helios Fury. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.
The v2.0.2 help establishes the 99/259 connected-way counts, moving-Wild re-spin sequence, reel-five trigger, 5×5 expansion, locked-Wild and hotspot rules, two RTP settings, 90× purchase price and 50,000× cap. The client uses Helios' Fury while the product page and requested URL use Helios Fury; game ID heliosfury confirms the same title.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
