Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
La Fiesta is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as lafiesta. the current official package is dated 23 July 2026 and marked v2.0.6; the official release record dates the game to 5 August 2020. The rules describe five reels by four rows with 40 fixed paylines. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
The current v2.0.6 help contains runtime placeholders for base and purchase RTP. During this check, the supplier configuration request returned access denied, so neither placeholder could be resolved responsibly. A percentage from the 2020 launch period or a third-party table would not prove the current build.
The checked help does not state one fixed ordinary-game maximum. Its paytables and any separately documented jackpot rules must therefore be read without inventing a universal cap. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €100. The risk profile is high, as stated in the official release; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

Exact 2020 first-party title
Release status and the checked La Fiesta package
Relax Gaming announced La Fiesta on 5 August 2020 and still lists it in the Own Games catalogue. The exact product record names Relax Gaming as developer and gives a €0.10–€100 reference range. Those sources separate the title from similarly named festival games distributed by other studios.
The bundle currently served for game ID lafiesta identifies v2.0.6 dated 23 July 2026. That is a later operational package, not a new public release. Its help text is the strongest checked source for rules because it reflects the currently served client rather than launch-day marketing.
The package loads RTP through runtime fields. The corresponding configuration call returned an access-denied response, so this review leaves the percentage open. The evidence gap is explicit: it is not filled with a familiar 96% figure, an ID suffix or a competitor table.
The supplier demo and euro stake range do not establish NZD controls or New Zealand real-money access. They identify a global reference build. Any operator client must be checked again for title, version, RTP, purchase availability and total stake.
Payline foundation
Five reels, four rows and 40 fixed lines
All 40 paylines are active on every paid spin. Wins are evaluated from the leftmost reel across consecutive reels, and only the highest result is paid for each line. Separate line wins are added. The Wild substitutes for regular paying symbols but does not replace the bonus scatters.
This is not a cluster-pay or ways game. A symbol merely appearing somewhere on adjacent reels is insufficient unless the positions follow one of the fixed line patterns. The paytable should be opened before play because visible symbol frequency does not reveal line value.
The full amount shown as total bet buys one round across all lines. Dividing the stake by 40 may explain a notional line stake, but affordability should be judged by the total removed from the balance. Repeated rounds and the optional purchase determine actual exposure.
Reel-five selector
Three scatters choose the starting festival
A base scatter on reel one, another on reel three and a festival scatter on reel five trigger Free Spins. The third symbol is functional: a rose identifies Falleras, a tomato identifies La Tomatina and a bull identifies Pamplona. San Joan is reached through the Tour Bus rather than by an ordinary three-scatter base trigger.
The trigger therefore does more than count three matching icons. Reel position and the identity of the last scatter decide the starting route. A screenshot showing three symbols without their positions cannot prove which feature should have started.
After the award, the player can collect the selected feature or use the Tour Bus gamble. This decision occurs before the feature begins, so it changes the awarded route rather than multiplying a completed cash prize.
Optional risk after the trigger
The Tour Bus can upgrade, downgrade or lose the feature
Current help states that Gamble gives a 50/50 chance to move up or down the feature ladder. Collect starts the current award. A downgrade can leave a lower festival, while No Win returns to the base game without playing the feature.
The gamble can be repeated until Collect, No Win or the top route ends the sequence. Reaching San Joan launches it automatically. “No limit” on attempts does not mean risk-free progression: every decision can erase value already awarded by the trigger.
The probability statement applies to the immediate up-or-down decision, not to a guaranteed long-run strategy. Repeated choices compound the chance of eventually losing. The game does not disclose a method that changes the 50/50 result, and previous outcomes do not influence the next random decision.
Rose route
Falleras starts with a rose minigame
The Falleras route opens with a minigame that determines both starting spins and the feature multiplier. Every rose adds one spin in that preliminary stage. Red roses contribute to the Free Spins count, while gold roses also add to the multiplier.
When the minigame stops producing roses, the calculated feature begins. Additional red roses can land during Free Spins and add another spin. The starting values are therefore outcomes of the minigame, not fixed promises printed on the product card.
Record the displayed starting spins and multiplier before the first feature spin if checking settlement. A statement such as “Falleras always gives X spins” would be wrong because the rules deliberately make the opening values variable.
Tomato route
La Tomatina awards seven spins with sticky Wilds
La Tomatina begins with seven Free Spins. Tomato Wilds that land in the reel area become sticky and remain for the rest of the feature. Their value comes from persistence across subsequent line evaluations, not from increasing a separate multiplier.
A sticky position can assist several later spins, but no rule guarantees where or when a Wild lands. Seven spins describes the starting allowance; it does not guarantee seven wins or a full screen of Wilds.
The similarly named random La Tomatina modifier can place sticky Wilds for one ordinary round. That base-game event is not the seven-spin feature. Keeping the two contexts separate prevents a single-spin modifier from being described as bonus entry.
Bull route
Pamplona awards six spins and Mega Stacks
Pamplona starts with six Free Spins. During the feature, the highest-paying bull symbol is Mega Stacked on the reels. A stack can cover more positions and create more potential line connections, but its presence is not a guaranteed winning combination.
The base game also has a random Pamplona modifier that Mega Stacks the bull for that round. Again, the modifier and the six-spin feature share an idea but have different duration and trigger conditions.
Pamplona sits immediately below San Joan on the Tour Bus route. Choosing Gamble after reaching it risks dropping down or losing the feature in exchange for the chance to reach the top option. Collect preserves the six-spin award instead.
Top Tour Bus route
San Joan uses a moving Wild and progressive multiplier
San Joan presents a vertical horse Wild with a multiplier. Before each spin after the initial one, the Wild moves to an adjacent reel or falls. A move awards another respin; a fall leads to the final resolution. The multiplier rises by one with each step.
The movement sequence controls feature length. There is no fixed number of spins in the readable rules and no promise that the Wild will travel across every reel. “Progressive” here means the feature multiplier grows during that sequence; it does not mean a network jackpot.
A random San Joan modifier can produce a related moving Donkey Wild in the base game, starting at two rows rather than the feature's three-row horse. The distinction affects both visual footprint and context, so the two should not be merged.
Base-game modifiers
Three random events reuse festival mechanics
La Tomatina can place several sticky Wilds at random positions for the current round. Pamplona can make the bull symbol Mega Stacked. San Joan can introduce a moving Donkey Wild with a progressive multiplier and respins.
These events activate randomly at the start of a spin. They do not require the three-scatter pattern and do not award the corresponding full Free Spins feature. Their presence changes the current round only as specified by the help.
Because the modifiers borrow names and visuals from the bonus routes, summaries often overstate them. The verification question is simple: did the interface show an ordinary paid spin with a modifier, or did it enter a named Free Spins screen?
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
The current v2.0.6 help contains runtime placeholders for base and purchase RTP. During this check, the supplier configuration request returned access denied, so neither placeholder could be resolved responsibly. A percentage from the 2020 launch period or a third-party table would not prove the current build. Without a verified percentage, a house edge cannot be calculated responsibly. Open the exact live help and subtract its displayed RTP from 100%; do not infer the missing value from artwork, a game-ID suffix or another edition.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Exact deployed base game | Not exposed publicly | Read the current in-game help before use |
Once a deployed help panel supplies a percentage, read it as a long-run average across the mathematical model—not a personal refund after 100 spins. High variation, rare features, jackpots and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below that average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label any third-party percentage “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
Relax's official launch announcement describes La Fiesta as high volatility. Four feature routes, a lose-or-upgrade gamble and progressive respins can concentrate outcomes, but the label does not predict a trigger or profit.
The current help does not publish a single fixed ordinary-game cap. That evidence gap must remain separate from moving progressive prizes and promotional maximum-win copy. If a deployed operator client states a cap, record that exact build and the unit it uses rather than importing a number from another source.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.10 and maximum of €100. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes La Fiesta. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The product and release pages establish Relax authorship, 5×4 format, reference stakes, release date and high-volatility positioning. Current v2.0.6 help controls the 40 lines, exact feature rules, 50× purchase and 50/50 Tour Bus wording. Its RTP fields require a live configuration that was inaccessible during this check.
Current help verifies 40 active lines, three-scatter selection, Falleras rose minigame, seven-spin La Tomatina, six-spin Pamplona, moving-wild San Joan, three random modifiers and a 50× feature purchase. It does not expose a resolved RTP or hard cap in the readable package.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
Checklist before relying on this guide
- Match the full title La Fiesta and developer Relax Gaming.
- Confirm game ID lafiesta, help date 23 July 2026 and version 2.0.6 where shown.
- Check the layout: five reels by four rows with 40 fixed paylines.
- Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
- Record the active RTP rather than assuming a number from another source.
- Confirm whether the deployed help states an ordinary cap; preserve the gap if it does not.
- Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
- Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
- Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
- Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.
If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.

Questions answered
Frequently asked questions
What is the current La Fiesta RTP?
The current v2.0.6 help uses runtime RTP fields, but the configuration endpoint returned an access-denied response during the 6 October 2026 check. This guide therefore does not publish an unverified percentage.
How are La Fiesta Free Spins triggered?
Scatters on reels one and three plus a festival scatter on reel five trigger a feature. The reel-five symbol identifies Falleras, La Tomatina or Pamplona.
What does the Tour Bus gamble do?
After a feature is awarded, Collect starts it. Gamble gives a stated 50/50 chance to move up or down the feature ladder. A No Win result loses the feature, while reaching San Joan starts that top feature automatically.
How much does the La Fiesta feature purchase cost?
Current help states 50× the selected bet and guarantees three scatters. The reel-five scatter determines the starting feature, after which the normal Collect or Gamble decision applies.
Is La Fiesta available at New Zealand casinos?
The official supplier records do not prove New Zealand operator availability. A named operator, current NZ eligibility and the exact deployed game help require separate checks.
