Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
Wildchemy is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as wildchemy. the current official package exposes no readable version or publication date; the official catalogue confirms publication and a 6 January 2020 Relax release describes Wildchemy as an earlier title, but no exact dated launch record was located. The rules describe five reels by five rows with five horizontal and five vertical match lines. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
Current Wildchemy help inserts its theoretical RTP from runtime configuration. The supplier configuration endpoint returned access denied during this check, so no active percentage or house edge is invented. The product card's 697× headline is not an RTP and is not used as one.
The checked help does not state one fixed ordinary-game maximum. Its paytables and any separately documented jackpot rules must therefore be read without inventing a universal cap. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €100. The risk profile is not graded in current first-party help; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

First-party identity
Wildchemy release status and evidence limits
Relax Gaming lists Wildchemy among its Own Games and supplies the current game-specific help under ID wildchemy. The product record gives €0.10–€100 reference stakes and a dated-style 697× product headline.
No exact first-party launch article was located. Relax's 6 January 2020 Snake Arena announcement calls Wildchemy an earlier release, establishing that it was already published by that date. This guide preserves that bounded finding rather than assigning a guessed day.
The current help has no readable version stamp and resolves RTP at runtime. Its mechanics are current evidence; its missing percentage remains missing.
Ten straight routes
Five horizontal and five vertical match lines
The 5×5 grid is evaluated for straight adjacent runs. At least three identical symbols must connect horizontally or vertically. Diagonal groups and bent shapes do not qualify under the current rule.
There are five possible horizontal rows and five vertical columns, which is why the descriptive help refers to ten lines. These are not conventional left-to-right paylines: a valid three-symbol match can occupy part of a row or column without beginning on reel one.
Longer runs are evaluated according to the paytable. Separate qualifying groups can occur during the same cascade sequence and contribute to its total.
Repeated evaluation
Winning and transformed symbols make room for new ones
After evaluation, winning symbols disappear and new symbols fall into their positions. The grid is checked again, and the process repeats while fresh matches form.
One paid spin can therefore contain several cascades. They should not be counted as additional paid rounds when tracking stake, and a later cascade is not made “due” by an earlier one.
Portal symbols and Scatters have their own destruction rules, which can remove extra cells and initiate further drops even when the original match occupied a smaller area.
Pre-evaluation transformation
Matching corner Portals transform a symbol across the grid
In the base game, the top-left and bottom-right positions are Magical Portals. If both contain the same ordinary symbol, those two symbols and every other appearance of that symbol become Wild before the grid is evaluated.
A Wild in one Portal matches an ordinary symbol in the other, allowing that regular symbol type to transform. Two Wilds in the Portal corners do not trigger transformation.
Transformed or initially Wild Portal symbols then explode before cascading even when they were not part of a win. The exception is a two-Wild Portal pair: because it creates no transformation, those Wilds explode only if included in a winning match.
Cross-shaped removal
Scatters accumulate across the whole cascade sequence
Every Scatter is collected for the duration of one paid spin, including all cascades that follow it. It explodes and also removes symbols in a plus shape immediately above, below, left and right, adjusted at edges and corners.
That cross-shaped clearing can create space for more symbols and additional Scatters. The feature trigger therefore counts collected Scatters across the complete sequence, not merely those visible on one static grid.
Scatter explosions and Portal transformation can interact in one sequence, but neither lets the player select future symbols or guarantee the required count.
Collected threshold
Four Scatters start the feature; extras add four spins
Collecting at least four Scatters during one cascade sequence triggers Free Spins. Current help states that every additional Scatter adds four more spins.
The package does not explicitly print the base award in the exposed rule strings we could verify. This page therefore does not invent an initial count; it reports only the confirmed four-Scatter threshold and +4 rule.
Progress resets after the paid spin resolves. Three collected Scatters do not carry into a later spin, and a near trigger does not alter the next random outcome.
Three changes in Free Spins
A third Portal appears and every win is doubled
Free Spins add a Magical Portal in the top-right corner. If any two Portal symbols match under the help rules, that symbol type and all its appearances transform into Wilds before evaluation.
All feature wins are multiplied by two. The multiplier applies to eligible settled wins; it is not a promise that a given Free Spin will form a match.
No Scatters appear in the feature, so it cannot retrigger. The initial award plus any extra spins earned at the triggering threshold defines the available feature length.
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
Current Wildchemy help inserts its theoretical RTP from runtime configuration. The supplier configuration endpoint returned access denied during this check, so no active percentage or house edge is invented. The product card's 697× headline is not an RTP and is not used as one. Without a verified percentage, a house edge cannot be calculated responsibly. Open the exact live help and subtract its displayed RTP from 100%; do not infer the missing value from artwork, a game-ID suffix or another edition.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Exact deployed base game | Not exposed publicly | Read the current in-game help before use |
Once a deployed help panel supplies a percentage, read it as a long-run average across the mathematical model—not a personal refund after 100 spins. High variation, rare features, jackpots and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below that average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label any third-party percentage “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
The current help and product record do not assign Wildchemy a named volatility tier. Cascades, transformations and doubled feature wins can create uneven outcomes, but mechanics and an old 697× headline do not prove an official grade.
The current help does not publish a single fixed ordinary-game cap. That evidence gap must remain separate from moving progressive prizes and promotional maximum-win copy. If a deployed operator client states a cap, record that exact build and the unit it uses rather than importing a number from another source.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.10 and maximum of €100. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Wildchemy. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The Own Games and product pages establish Relax authorship, the wildchemy ID, reference stakes and product status. A 6 January 2020 official release identifies Wildchemy as preceding Snake Arena, but the exact launch date was not located. Current help controls match lines, Portal transformation, Scatter collection and Free Spins.
Current help verifies ten straight match lines, cascades, two base Portals, the Portal-Wild exception, cross-shaped Scatter explosions, four-Scatter feature entry, +4 spins for each extra Scatter, a third feature Portal, doubled feature wins and no retrigger. It exposes no resolved RTP or hard cap.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
Checklist before relying on this guide
- Match the full title Wildchemy and developer Relax Gaming.
- Confirm game ID wildchemy, help date 6 October 2026 and version not exposed where shown.
- Check the layout: five reels by five rows with five horizontal and five vertical match lines.
- Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
- Record the active RTP rather than assuming a number from another source.
- Confirm whether the deployed help states an ordinary cap; preserve the gap if it does not.
- Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
- Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
- Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
- Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.
If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.

Questions answered
Frequently asked questions
What is the current Wildchemy RTP?
Current help inserts RTP from runtime configuration. The supplier endpoint returned access denied on 6 October 2026, so no current percentage is claimed.
How are Wildchemy wins formed?
At least three matching symbols must form a straight horizontal or vertical adjacent line. There are five horizontal and five vertical evaluation lines.
How do Magical Portals work?
If the top-left and bottom-right Portal symbols match, every appearance of that symbol becomes Wild before evaluation. A Portal Wild can match a regular symbol, but two Portal Wilds do not trigger transformation.
How do Free Spins start?
Four or more Scatters collected during one complete cascade sequence trigger Free Spins. Each Scatter above four adds another four spins.
Can Wildchemy Free Spins retrigger?
No. Current help says no Scatters appear in Free Spins, so the feature cannot retrigger. A third Portal is added and all feature wins are doubled.
