Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
St Louis 1904 is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as stlouis1904. The information panel is marked V1.1.9 but does not print a help date. the current product page, Own Games catalogue and playable first-party demo establish public release by 6 October 2026, but no dated launch announcement was located in the checked official source set. The rules describe a five-reel, three-row game with ten fixed paylines, Money Medal values and progressive Free Games levels. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 95.92%, equivalent to a 4.08% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.
The checked help does not state one fixed ordinary-game maximum. Its paytables and any separately documented jackpot rules must therefore be read without inventing a universal cap. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €50. The risk profile is not stated in the checked first-party help or product record; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

Released, but not back-dated
Current product status and the undated v1.1.9 client
St Louis 1904 appears in Relax Gaming's current Own Games catalogue and has an exact first-party product page and playable demo. Those records establish that it is a released Relax title by 6 October 2026 rather than a partner game supplied only through aggregation.
No dated first-party launch announcement was located in the official source set. The page therefore records public status by the check date without inventing a day or borrowing a release date from an unaffiliated database.
The demo opened under “stlouis1904”. Its information panel is marked V1.1.9 but prints no help date. The product page separately lists stlouis1904_94 and a German stlouis1904_86 ID. As elsewhere, those suffixes remain identifiers rather than evidence of 94% or 86% RTP.
The loaded help itself states 95.92% average theoretical RTP. It gives exact returns for the three purchases as well. A real-money client can differ, so a player should match the title, version and displayed percentage inside the operator game.
Fixed-line evaluation
Ten paylines, Wild Collectors and Money Medals
The game uses five reels, three rows and ten fixed paylines. A qualifying line needs at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. Only the highest award on each line is paid, and awards from different lines are added.
The Wild Collector can appear on every reel during Free Games and substitutes for ordinary symbols but not for Scatters. Money Medals display values of 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x, 500x or 5,000x total bet.
Money Medals have different roles by mode. In base play, they use standard line payouts. During Free Games, a landed Wild Collector collects the instant values from Money Medals. Describing every medal as an instant base-game prize would therefore be incorrect.
Three Money Medals on reel one can trigger a medal respin. Reels two through five respin and can add Money Medals to create cash-prize paylines. The exact reel-one condition matters; three medals anywhere are not documented as the same trigger.
Collectors advance the level
Ten, 15 or 20 Free Games and progressive multipliers
Three Scatters award ten Free Games, four award 15 and five award 20. When two Scatters remain after a base round, a second-chance event may move them down and respin other reels, or a Whirlwind can reveal an additional Scatter on a random reel.
Before Free Games start, zero to five modifiers can be selected. The options add more Money Medals, more Wild Collectors, more assist symbols, an instant level-two start with a 2x multiplier, or two extra starting and retrigger spins.
Wild Collectors are added to a progressive meter. Every fourth collector retriggers the feature, adds spins and advances the multiplier level: 2x at level two, 3x at level three and 10x at level four. The help says the multiplier applies only to the retriggered Free Games.
The meter tracks collected Wild Collectors rather than total Money Medal value. A large medal does not by itself advance the level, and a higher level does not guarantee another collector or medal before the internal spins end.
End-of-round rescue events
Pack of Dogs, Rotten Apples and the Car
At the end of a Free Game round, a Pack of Dogs can trigger when Wild Collectors are present but no Money Medals landed. It introduces Money Medal symbols into random reel positions, providing values for the visible collectors to gather.
Rotten Apples can also act when collectors are present without medals. That feature changes random ordinary symbols into Money Medals while leaving the Wild Collector unchanged.
The Car covers the opposite missing component. When Money Medals are visible but no Wild Collector appears, the Car can drive across the reels and introduce new collectors. Each assist responds to a different board state.
The wording says these features can trigger. Their appearance is not guaranteed whenever the described state occurs, and the help does not supply a hit rate. Demo observations cannot establish one reliably.
Three entry configurations
70x, 145x and 270x Buy Bonus choices
The 70x entry supplies three Scatters, ten Free Games and a chance of reel modifiers. Its average theoretical RTP is 96.22%, the highest of the three purchase percentages stated in the checked help.
The 145x entry supplies four Scatters, 15 Free Games and one guaranteed modifier at 96.15% RTP. The 270x route supplies five Scatters, 20 Free Games and two guaranteed modifiers at 96.16%.
The prices, starting spins, guaranteed modifiers and returns do not rise in one simple order. The middle price has the lowest published purchase RTP, while the cheapest has the highest. A higher cost buys a different starting state, not a promise of a better result per dollar.
The paytable headline says “win up to 10000x”, and the information panel reports 10,000x as the maximum recorded in 1,000,000,000 simulated game rounds. It does not explicitly say that every build enforces 10,000x as a hard cap. This review keeps that distinction instead of converting a simulation record into settlement wording.
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 95.92%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 4.08%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Base game in official demo | 95.92% | Verified in help: checked 6 October 2026; no help date printed |
| Buy Bonus · 3 Scatters / 10 Free Games | 96.22% | Costs 70x; chance of reel modifiers |
| Buy Bonus · 4 Scatters / 15 Free Games | 96.15% | Costs 145x; one guaranteed modifier |
| Buy Bonus · 5 Scatters / 20 Free Games | 96.16% | Costs 270x; two guaranteed modifiers |
A return of 95.92% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 95.92 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 95.92% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
Neither the current V1.1.9 information panel nor the official product record checked for this review assigns a formal volatility category. Money values up to 5,000x, progressive feature levels and multiple purchase prices can produce uneven results, but they do not establish a provider rating.
The current help does not publish a single fixed ordinary-game cap. That evidence gap must remain separate from moving progressive prizes and promotional maximum-win copy. If a deployed operator client states a cap, record that exact build and the unit it uses rather than importing a number from another source.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.10 and maximum of €50. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes St Louis 1904. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.
The V1.1.9 client supplies the 10-line evaluation, Money Medal values, Wild Collector progression, assist features, 95.92% base RTP and all three purchase returns and prices. It advertises up to 10,000x and reports that value as the maximum found in one billion simulations, but does not call it a fixed settlement cap. No launch date or volatility label was invented.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
Checklist before relying on this guide
- Match the full title St Louis 1904 and developer Relax Gaming.
- Confirm game ID stlouis1904, help date checked 6 October 2026; no help date printed and version 1.1.9 where shown.
- Check the layout: a five-reel, three-row game with ten fixed paylines, Money Medal values and progressive Free Games levels.
- Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
- Record the active RTP rather than assuming 95.92%.
- Confirm whether the deployed help states an ordinary cap; preserve the gap if it does not.
- Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
- Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
- Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
- Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.
If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.
