Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
Pharaoh’s Last Wish is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as pharaohslastwish. The live help we inspected is dated 30 December 2025 and marked version 1.0.3; the official release record dates the game to 19 February 2026. The rules describe six reels and five rows, expanding to six-by-six at level five and during Free Spins, with cluster wins of five or more symbols. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 96.10%, equivalent to a 3.90% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.
The documented maximum is 10,000x the total bet. The reference stake range is €0.20 to €100. The risk profile is medium in Relax Gaming's official release announcement; a published ceiling and return percentage do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

February 2026 release
Release status and exact game build
Relax Gaming released Pharaoh’s Last Wish on 19 February 2026. The exact product record places it in the studio's own catalogue and the announcement labels the risk profile medium. This is not an older Pharaoh-themed game or a partner title delivered through Relax's aggregation platform.
The operational evidence is the public demo help dated 30 December 2025 and marked v1.0.3. A help date before the commercial release is normal for a prepared launch build; the visible title, ID and later product record connect the documents.
Relax lists the main ID pharaohslastwish, alternative ID pharaohslastwish_94 and German ID pharaohslastwish_86. Those suffixes establish different packages, but the product page does not state their exact RTP. Only the 96.10% client we opened is quantified.
The reference stake range is €0.20–€100. This is supplier product data, not evidence of NZD denominations, New Zealand availability or a particular operator's limits.
Five symbols connect
Cluster wins and the expanding grid
The base grid starts at six reels by five rows. A win needs at least five matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically. Diagonal contact alone does not join a cluster.
Winning symbols are removed and replacements fall into their spaces, so one paid spin can create several consecutive cluster evaluations. Every winning symbol also contributes to the current collection target until that meter fills.
At level five the grid gains a sixth row, creating 36 positions instead of 30. The same 6×6 area is used in Free Spins. More positions create more possible adjacency, but they do not guarantee a win or feature trigger.
Wilds substitute for regular paying symbols, while Scatters and multiplier objects keep their separate roles. A Wild or multiplier by itself does not form a paying cluster under the help rules.
Five targets
How symbol collection advances the levels
The progression counts symbols that participate in winning clusters. Level one requires 80 collected winning symbols, level two requires 100, level three requires 120, level four requires 140 and level five requires 180.
Each target is a new level requirement, not one cumulative 620-symbol meter shown as a single threshold. When a meter fills, further symbols do not contribute until the spin finishes and the next level activates.
Level zero begins without an added modifier. Levels one through four retain the previously unlocked effects and add another. Level five retains the modifier set, expands the area and introduces Scatters on all reels.
Progress is not proof that a feature must arrive. The collection system changes the documented state, but each modifier and Scatter landing remains subject to the random model.
Effects accumulate
Colossal, Destroy, Extra Wild and Transform rules
Level one can add a Colossal Symbol measuring 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4. It may land partly on the visible area and can represent a regular paying symbol, but not a Wild or Scatter.
Level two adds Symbol Destroy. At least five eligible symbols are chosen and all instances of the selected symbol are removed. Winning clusters, Wilds, Scatters, multipliers and the Pharaoh symbol are protected; a non-winning Colossal Symbol can be affected.
Level three adds between three and five Wilds. They can cover symbols already participating in a cluster but cannot replace a Scatter or an existing Wild. Their substitution still has to produce a valid connected group.
Level four adds Symbol Transform. At least five eligible symbols become a higher-paying symbol selected from the paytable. The feature can transform an eligible Colossal Symbol, while Wilds, Scatters, multipliers and the Pharaoh remain excluded.
Random spin award
Multiplier values and settlement
Any spin can receive a multiplier from the documented set: 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x or 100x. The help describes a chance, not a predictable sequence or fixed frequency.
A displayed multiplier modifies the eligible round award under the rules. It is not a second stake and it does not raise the 10,000x game cap.
Recent spins without a multiplier do not make the next value more likely. The progression meter is the game's explicit carried state; a run of ordinary outcomes is not.
Search snippets sometimes call the maximum multiplier the maximum win. They are different: 100x is the largest listed spin multiplier, while 10,000x is the total round settlement ceiling.
Level five only
Free Spins trigger, retriggers and multiplier stages
Three Scatters trigger the feature only while the base game is at level five. The initial award is 10 Free Spins on the expanded 6×6 grid with a 1x feature multiplier.
Scatters are collected during the feature. Each stage requires four, after which five extra spins are added and the multiplier advances when the current stage completes.
The documented stages are 1x at level one, then 2x, 5x and 10x. The first 10 spins belong to the 1x stage; each later completed collection stage adds five spins at its stronger multiplier.
Colossal, Destroy, Extra Wild and Transform remain available during Free Spins. After the feature ends, its symbol-progression state resets. A purchased feature leaves the base progression level unchanged when the feature concludes.
Different prices and returns
Enhanced Spin and 75x Buy Feature
Enhanced Spin becomes available at level five, adds 50% to the ordinary stake and increases the chance of triggering Free Spins. The help states 96.11% RTP for that route, one hundredth of a percentage point above the 96.10% base value.
Enhanced Spin and the Buy Feature cannot be active together. The final total bet must be read after the option is selected, because the charged amount is 1.5x the reference base bet.
The direct purchase costs 75x the regular bet, guarantees three Scatters and enters Free Spins. Its help-stated RTP is 96.56%. The price guarantees access, not a profitable return or a particular multiplier stage.
Both controls can be disabled by jurisdiction or operator. If a live client does not show them, that absence should not be treated as a fault. Never use a global demo to claim an option is available to New Zealand players.
| Route in v1.0.3 | Cost | RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Base game | 1x | 96.10% |
| Enhanced Spin | 1.5x | 96.11% |
| Buy Feature | 75x | 96.56% |
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 96.10%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 3.90%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Base game in official demo | 96.10% | Verified in help: 30 December 2025 |
| Buy Feature | 96.56% | Applies only to the documented paid route where available |
A return of 96.10% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 96.10 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 96.10% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
The Buy Feature is mathematically separate in the checked help: it states 96.56% RTP and costs 75x the regular bet. That route can be unavailable in some markets or excluded by an operator. Its published return does not make the option affordable or reduce the possibility of losing the full price.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
The available first-party and live-help evidence supports a medium in Relax Gaming's official release announcement risk profile. Volatility concerns how unevenly the mathematical return is distributed: a volatile game can devote more of its return to uncommon events and leave long stretches with small awards or none. It is not a timetable for a bonus and it does not show that a loss is “due” to reverse.
The checked maximum is 10,000x total bet. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the cap easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.20 and maximum of €100. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Pharaoh’s Last Wish. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.
The live help verifies the exact 80/100/120/140/180 collection targets, all four level modifiers, the level-five Scatter restriction, 10-spin start, four-Scatter upgrades, multiplier stages, 96.11% Enhanced Spin return, 96.56% buy return and 10,000x cap. Relax also lists lower-market IDs pharaohslastwish_94 and pharaohslastwish_86 without publishing their percentages on the product card, so those builds are not assigned guessed RTPs here.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
Checklist before relying on this guide
- Match the full title Pharaoh’s Last Wish and developer Relax Gaming.
- Confirm game ID pharaohslastwish, help date 30 December 2025 and version 1.0.3 where shown.
- Check the layout: six reels and five rows, expanding to six-by-six at level five and during Free Spins, with cluster wins of five or more symbols.
- Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
- Record the active RTP rather than assuming 96.10%.
- Confirm whether the cap is 10,000x.
- Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
- Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
- Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
- Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.
If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.
