Short answer

Evidence-led verdict

Money Train 5 is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as moneytrain5. The live help we inspected is dated 28 September 2026 and marked version 1.0.7; the official release record dates the game to 24 September 2026. The rules describe a five-reel, four-row video slot with forty fixed paylines and separate Standard and Ultra modes. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.

The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 96.10%, equivalent to a 3.90% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.

The documented maximum is 50,000x the total bet in Standard mode and 100,000x in Ultra mode. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €20 in Standard mode, with Ultra capped at €10. The risk profile is very high and bonus-led; a published ceiling and return percentage do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.

This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

Release status, title and checked build

Relax Gaming announced Money Train 5 in June 2026 and set its public release for 24 September 2026. The exact product page places it in the studio's own-games catalogue, not a Silver Bullet or Powered By partner list. That establishes Relax Gaming as the developer rather than merely the aggregator.

The official demo loaded under game ID “moneytrain5.” Its information panel displayed “28/09/2026 1.0.7,” four days after the release date. This guide records that current help build. A casino can use another certified market ID, so the consumer title by itself is not enough to transfer the checked return.

The game has five reels, four rows and 40 fixed paylines. Standard and Ultra share the visible structure but have different headline caps and maximum reference stakes. Ultra should therefore be recorded as a mathematical mode, not described as a cosmetic toggle.

The 2026 release status does not imply a New Zealand operator listing. We did not enter a real-money account or verify an operator route. The public demo supplies current rules and version evidence only.

Forty fixed lines

Base-game evaluation and Nuclear Wilds

All 40 paylines are active. Ordinary combinations are evaluated from the leftmost reel across consecutive reels, with the highest qualifying combination paid on each line and separate line awards added. The regular Wild substitutes for paying symbols but not the Bonus symbol.

The Nuclear Wild feature can activate during a paid spin. Crosshairs lock onto as many as five reels and place Nuclear Bombs across the targeted positions. The bombs do not immediately turn every target into a prize: when the tension line connects through a winning combination, they detonate into full Nuclear Wild reels.

A full Wild reel supplies Wild positions across all four rows and can therefore participate in several paylines. Each line is still evaluated under the paytable. The animation does not create an extra stake, and an unconnected bomb should be read through the live help rather than assumed to pay.

The base game also exposes an Enhanced Spin option where permitted. The checked rules state an Enhanced Spin theoretical RTP of 96.10%, matching the base percentage. A higher spin price changes exposure and feature likelihood under its documented route; it does not create a better long-run percentage in this checked build.

Three-spin reset

Entering and extending the Free Spins bonus

Three or more Bonus symbols anywhere trigger Free Spins. At entry, triggering symbols reveal stake-multiplier values and award three spins. The feature uses a reset model: each time a new qualifying symbol lands, the remaining spin count returns to three rather than simply adding one spin to a fixed allocation.

Bonus symbols can reveal values between 1x and 10x bet. Special feature symbols act on the visible grid in a defined order, generally from the top row to the bottom and left to right within a row. Ticket effects act last. That order matters when several collectors, payers or movement effects appear together.

The Free Spins round begins at Station 0 in both Standard and ordinary Ultra entry. Super Free Spins begin at Station 15. If a Ticket Master is responsible for triggering the feature, the train advances to Station 15 before the first spin, giving the round access to mechanics normally unlocked later.

New symbols can keep resetting the count, but no reset is guaranteed. A round can end after the remaining spins expire. The word “persistent” applies only to symbols that the rules identify as persistent; it does not mean every visible value remains indefinitely.

Tickets move the grid

Station 5, 10, 15 and 20 unlocks

Ticket symbols show how many steps the reels move from right to left. Each reel moved out of the grid advances the train by one station and adds that reel's accumulated value to the feature win. Movement can therefore settle value while also removing a useful symbol from future spins.

Station 5 unlocks the chance for persistent symbols to land. Station 10 adds and gears up an extra row, increasing the bonus grid from four rows to five. Station 15 unlocks the Bomber and Pyromancer. Station 20 unlocks and activates the Permanent Payer.

Progress is functional, not merely an animation. A symbol near the left edge can be pushed out on a Ticket move, while newly exposed space appears on the right. The value of the removed reel is added to the total, but the ongoing effect of a departed persistent symbol is no longer available.

The station number does not carry into the next independently triggered feature unless the selected route explicitly starts there. Ordinary and Ultra Free Spins begin at zero; Super variants begin at 15. A high station is not a promise that the feature will reach Station 20 before its spin counter expires.

Eleven roles

What the special bonus symbols do

The ordinary Bonus symbol reveals a value from 1x to 10x. The Absorber takes visible ordinary Bonus values and removes those symbols, while special symbols are protected. The Arms Dealer converts one to four ordinary Bonus symbols into a feature symbol, then the converted symbol performs its own action.

The Collector adds all visible values to its own value. Collector Payer selects three to five targets, adds their values to itself and then pays the updated value to each target. The Ticket Master takes the total win, adds it to all other visible symbols and always applies a one-value Ticket.

The Necromancer restores one or two already-used non-persistent special features. The Payer reveals a stake-multiplier value and adds it to every other visible symbol. The Sniper doubles three to eight other symbols and can hit the same target more than once.

At Station 15, Bomber can multiply every visible value by 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. Pyromancer creates a static Hot Zone: normal feature symbols that can be persistent upgrade there, and bonus values that land in or move into the zone double. At Station 20, Permanent Payer activates and follows its own restricted boost rules.

These actions make settlement order important. A one-line summary such as “collect symbols for multipliers” omits conversions, removals, repeated effects and Ticket movement. When several icons land, use the help panel and watch the order rather than trying to reconstruct the award from the final grid alone.

Market-dependent controls

Standard, Ultra, Supercharge and Bonus Reels

Standard mode carries a 50,000x cap and reference bets from €0.10 to €20. Ultra carries a 100,000x cap and a lower €10 reference maximum. The checked help displays the mode toggle before play. Switching modes changes the maximum exposure and should be done only after rereading the total bet and rules.

The Supercharge menu can contain Free Spins, Ultra Free Spins, Super Free Spins and Ultra Super Free Spins where permitted. The ordinary Free Spins purchase is shown at 100x the default bet; the Ultra Super route begins at Station 15, supports the 100,000x ceiling and is priced at 2,000x. The help states 96.50% theoretical RTP for all Buy Features.

Bonus Reels removes regular paying symbols and permits only Bonus symbols, with an increased chance of bonus entry. The checked help prices Standard Bonus Reels at 10x the default bet and Ultra Bonus Reels at 25x, with 96.10% RTP. Availability depends on market and operator controls.

A purchase or enhanced round concentrates risk into a single decision. A higher feature-entry chance is not a guaranteed profit, and the large price can be lost in one activation. If a jurisdiction or operator omits these controls, their absence is not a game malfunction.

Live-help evidence

RTP, house edge and alternative builds

The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 96.10%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 3.90%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.

Checked mode or routeTheoretical RTPHow to use it
Base game in official demo96.10%Verified in help: 28 September 2026
Buy Feature96.50%Applies only to the documented paid route where available

A return of 96.10% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 96.10 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.

Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 96.10% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.

The Buy Feature is mathematically separate in the checked help: it states 96.50% RTP and costs 100x to 2,000x the default bet depending on the selected route. That route can be unavailable in some markets or excluded by an operator. Its published return does not make the option affordable or reduce the possibility of losing the full price.

Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.

Distribution, not prediction

Volatility and maximum-win limits

The available first-party and live-help evidence supports a very high and bonus-led risk profile. Volatility concerns how unevenly the mathematical return is distributed: a volatile game can devote more of its return to uncommon events and leave long stretches with small awards or none. It is not a timetable for a bonus and it does not show that a loss is “due” to reverse.

The checked maximum is 50,000x total bet in Standard mode. Ultra mode increases that ceiling to 100,000x. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the cap easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.

The mode selector is part of the mathematical identity. Ultra is not merely a faster animation or cosmetic skin: it changes the published ceiling and the maximum reference stake. Record the selected mode with the RTP because a review that prints only the larger cap can misrepresent Standard play.

A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.

Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.

Read the charged amount

Bet range, optional costs and affordability

The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.10 and maximum of €20 for Standard mode; Ultra mode is capped at €10. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.

Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.

A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.

Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.

Interface verification

Mobile help and what a demo can prove

The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.

A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.

Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.

If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.

Separate evidence chain

New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo

Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Money Train 5. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.

Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.

New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.

Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.

Source reconciliation

What the checked sources establish

The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.

We loaded Relax Gaming's public demo and read its Paytable & Game Rules panel. It identifies help v1.0.7, dates it 28/09/2026 and states the 96.10% base RTP, 96.50% Buy Feature RTP, mode-specific caps and station rules. The product page lists lower-return alternative game IDs without printing every percentage, so we do not invent a complete RTP table for those builds.

Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.

The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.

We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.

Two-minute audit

Checklist before relying on this guide

  1. Match the full title Money Train 5 and developer Relax Gaming.
  2. Confirm game ID moneytrain5, help date 28 September 2026 and version 1.0.7 where shown.
  3. Check the layout: a five-reel, four-row video slot with forty fixed paylines and separate Standard and Ultra modes.
  4. Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
  5. Record the active RTP rather than assuming 96.10%.
  6. Confirm whether the cap is 50,000x or 100,000x under the selected mode.
  7. Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
  8. Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
  9. Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
  10. Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.

If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.

Questions answered

Frequently asked questions

What is the Money Train 5 RTP?

The official demo help dated 28 September 2026 and marked v1.0.7 states 96.10% for the checked game. It also states 96.50% for all Buy Features and 96.10% for Bonus Reels and Enhanced Spin routes.

What is the maximum win?

The live help caps Standard mode at 50,000x total bet and Ultra mode at 100,000x. The mode must be recorded with any maximum-win claim.

How do stations work?

Tickets move reels out from right to left. Each reel removed advances the train one station and adds that reel’s total value to the bonus win. Stations 5, 10, 15 and 20 unlock additional mechanics.

What does the Nuclear Wild do?

Crosshairs can target up to five reels and plant Nuclear Bombs. When connected by a winning combination, the bombs detonate and the affected reels become full Nuclear Wild reels.

Is Money Train 5 available in New Zealand?

The official catalogue and demo do not prove operator-level availability in New Zealand. Check the operator, territorial terms and exact live help separately.
