Money Cart: rules, features and verified RTP settings

Money Cart is a high-volatility Relax Gaming Bonus Reels game released on 7 December 2021. The checked v2.0.2 help documents a 5x4 starting area that can open two columns, a three-spin reset loop, six value-symbol behaviours and 98.00% theoretical RTP. Its maximum is 20,000 coins, explicitly equivalent to 2,000 times the selected bet.

Short answer

Evidence-led verdict

Money Cart is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as moneycart. The live help we inspected is dated 26 July 2024 and marked version 2.0.2; the official release record dates the game to 7 December 2021. The rules describe five columns and four rows, with two additional columns available during respins. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.

The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 98.00%, equivalent to a 2% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.

The checked help caps the game round at 20,000 coins and explicitly converts that amount to 2,000x the selected bet. The current help does not publish minimum or maximum stakes. Product-card currency figures are not treated as verified NZD denominations. The risk profile is high, as labelled in the official release record; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.

This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

Original Bonus Reels edition

Exact game ID, release and sequel boundary

Relax Gaming released the original Money Cart on 7 December 2021. The first-party client checked here uses game ID moneycart, with help dated 26 July 2024 and version 2.0.2.

This is not Money Cart 3, Money Cart 4 or a Money Train title. The numbered sequels and connected series share branding cues but use different grids, characters, feature orders, return settings and caps. Each remains on its own canonical URL.

The “Bonus Reels” label describes a game centred on a respin feature rather than a conventional paylines or ways paytable. Version 2.0.2 is the controlling record for the trigger, value symbols, RTP and maximum.

The launch page is used for release date and the studio's high-volatility label. It does not override the later help, and its coin headline is interpreted through the current rule that converts coins to the selected bet.

Feature-first structure

Three Bonus symbols begin the respin round

The starting game area contains five columns and four rows. Landing at least three Bonus symbols triggers the respin feature, and the triggering symbols reveal coin values as the round begins.

Bonus symbols can land anywhere in the available area. Their values and any special behaviours are settled under the respin rules rather than a left-to-right payline or cluster system.

The paytable states that one ordinary Bonus symbol reveals between one and ten coins. Coin units are internal award values; the selected bet determines their currency value in the client.

The trigger guarantees entry to the respin sequence, not a particular total. Three starting symbols can develop very differently depending on which later values and special symbols appear.

Three chances reset

Every new symbol restores the counter to three

The feature starts with three respins. Whenever a new symbol lands, the remaining count resets to three rather than merely increasing by one.

A respin with no new symbol reduces the count. The feature normally ends after three consecutive misses, unless the board fills and triggers the separate full-grid ending rule.

Landed symbols remain visible for the feature so later Payer and Collector actions can use their values. The counter reset gives the sequence more opportunities but does not guarantee that another symbol will arrive.

All respins belong to the same paid game round. The 20,000-coin limit applies to the complete accumulated result, not independently to every reset cycle.

The basic building block

Bonus symbols reveal one to ten coins

A standard Bonus symbol reveals a value from one to ten coins. It then remains on the grid as part of the visible-value total.

The checked demo showed the current two-unit reference bet and a paytable conversion of one coin to 0.20. That display explains the coin system for the loaded client; it is not a promise that two NZD or the same denomination appears at an operator.

Special symbols also reveal their own coin values before applying their documented actions. The order matters because a symbol may add to other values, collect them, or open another column.

The help publishes no probability distribution for values between one and ten. A short observed sample cannot establish whether every integer is equally likely or how frequently special symbols appear.

Add value across the grid

Payer and Persistent Payer act differently

A Payer reveals its own coin value and adds that amount to every other visible symbol. Its action is applied for the spin in which it lands.

A Persistent Payer also reveals a value and adds it to all other visible symbols at the end of that spin and each later spin. The help specifies that it does not pay itself.

The persistent version can therefore influence values repeatedly if the feature continues. Its eventual contribution depends on how many later spins occur and how many eligible symbols are visible, not simply on the value printed when it lands.

Neither Payer type increases the number of remaining respins except indirectly by being a newly landed symbol, which resets the counter to three under the general rule.

Copy visible values

Collector and Persistent Collector accumulate totals

A Collector reveals a coin value, then collects all other visible values and adds their total to its own value. Existing symbols stay in place; the action changes the Collector's stored amount.

A Persistent Collector repeats collection at the end of the landing spin and every following spin. It does not collect its own value, which prevents an immediate self-referential loop.

Timing creates interactions with Payers. Values visible after additions can influence collection totals according to the game's internal action order. This page does not invent a priority beyond the behaviours published in help.

A large Collector value is still part of the same capped round. Repeated collection cannot settle more than the documented 20,000-coin ceiling.

Two columns remain available

Widener expands the grid and a full board ends play

A Widener reveals a coin value and opens one additional reel. The starting five-column grid can add two columns, producing a maximum seven-column area during the feature.

Opening a column creates more positions where value symbols could land; it does not fill those positions automatically or guarantee an extended sequence.

If both extra columns have opened and every available position contains a symbol, the respins end immediately. The feature does not continue to spend unused counter resets after the grid is full.

At the end, the values present on the grid are summed and paid. The settlement includes the results of Payer and Collector actions while remaining subject to the coin cap.

Coins translated to stake

20,000 coins equals 2,000x the selected bet

The rules say the game round has a maximum of 20,000 coins. They also provide the essential conversion: that ceiling is equivalent to 2,000 times the selected bet.

If accumulated values reach 20,000 coins or more, the bonus ends and the award is fixed at 20,000 coins. Values beyond the ceiling are not paid above it.

This is not a 20,000x game. Repeating the coin headline without the 2,000x conversion would overstate the bet-relative maximum by a factor of ten.

The maximum is a settlement limit, not an expected result or hit frequency. The help does not say how often the cap occurs, and the high-volatility classification gives no countdown towards it.

Live-help evidence

RTP, house edge and alternative builds

The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 98.00%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 2%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.

Checked mode or routeTheoretical RTPHow to use it
Base game in official demo98.00%Verified in help: 26 July 2024

A return of 98.00% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 98.00 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.

Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 98.00% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.

Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.

Distribution, not prediction

Volatility and maximum-win limits

Relax Gaming's 7 December 2021 release labels Money Cart high volatility. The v2.0.2 help does not state a numerical volatility index, trigger frequency or probability for any special symbol.

The checked help caps the game round at 20,000 coins and explicitly converts that amount to 2,000x the selected bet. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the scale easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.

A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.

Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.

Read the charged amount

Bet range, optional costs and affordability

The paytable expresses values in coins, with the checked two-unit demo bet showing one coin as 0.20. The controlling rule converts the 20,000-coin ceiling to 2,000x the selected bet; confirm the live client's own bet and currency.

Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.

A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.

Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.

Interface verification

Mobile help and what a demo can prove

The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.

A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.

Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.

If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.

Separate evidence chain

New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo

Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Money Cart. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.

Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.

New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.

Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.

Source reconciliation

What the checked sources establish

The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.

The loaded help verifies the 5x4 starting area, two additional columns, three-resetting respins, six special symbol types, 98.00% RTP and the 20,000-coin/2,000x cap. It does not publish a stake range, a feature-buy route or NZ operator availability.

Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.

The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.

We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.

Two-minute audit

Checklist before relying on this guide

  1. Match the full title Money Cart and developer Relax Gaming.
  2. Confirm game ID moneycart, help date 26 July 2024 and version 2.0.2 where shown.
  3. Check the layout: five columns and four rows, with two additional columns available during respins.
  4. Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
  5. Record the active RTP rather than assuming 98.00%.
  6. Recheck the exact maximum wording: 20,000 coins, equivalent to 2,000x the selected bet.
  7. Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
  8. Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
  9. Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
  10. Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.

If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.
