Money Cart 2: rules, features and verified RTP settings

Money Cart 2 is a Bonus Reels-only Relax Gaming game rather than a conventional base slot. The feature begins on five columns by four rows with three resetting respins; filling a column can unlock up to two more columns. Coin values and Payer, Collector, Sniper, Reset Plus, Necromancer and persistent specialists develop the board. The current official config checked on 6 October 2026 states 98.00% RTP, and help caps the feature at 50,000 coins, explicitly 5,000× the selected bet.

Short answer

Evidence-led verdict

Money Cart 2 is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as moneycart2. the current official help package checked on 6 October 2026 does not expose a human-readable version number or publication date; the official launch record dates the UK release to 20 July 2021, with full-network discussion published 6 August 2021. The rules describe Bonus Reels beginning at five columns by four rows and expandable to seven columns by four rows. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.

The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 98.00%, equivalent to a 2% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.

The current help states that the maximum feature win is 50,000 coins, equal to 5,000× the selected bet. When reached, the feature ends and awards the capped amount. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €200. The risk profile is High, as described in the official release record; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.

This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

Exact sequel, release history and market context

This review covers Money Cart 2, identifier moneycart2. It is not a content update to the original game. Relax Gaming publishes the entries separately and their caps, specialist symbols and return settings differ.

The official release record dates the original UK launch to 20 July 2021 and describes the title as high volatility. A 6 August 2021 studio interview discusses the move to the full network. The current product card lists the standard build for all markets excluding Germany.

“All markets” on a supplier product card is a distribution field, not proof that a New Zealand operator currently carries the game or may accept a particular customer. Supplier reach, operator inventory and NZ legal eligibility remain separate evidence questions.

The current client help is unversioned, so this page gives the check date instead of inventing a help version. Its rules and current config control the operational figures; the 2021 articles establish release history and volatility wording.

Bonus Reels is the whole game

Paid entry and the three-spin reset loop

Money Cart 2 does not place Bonus Reels behind a conventional set of base-game paylines. The paid action begins the feature state. That distinction is important: the charge is the selected bet for this game, not a separately priced “bonus buy” attached to another RTP route.

The board begins with three respins. Landing a new qualifying symbol resets the counter to three. A spin without a new symbol reduces the remaining count, and the feature ends when the counter reaches zero unless another documented effect changes it.

Existing symbols remain on the board while empty positions respin. The held arrangement creates the feature's accumulation, but a nearly full board is limited to that one paid round. It does not persist in the account after settlement.

The help also states that an incomplete game is resolved under the provider's general rules after two days. This is a technical settlement safeguard, not a two-day opportunity to keep choosing spins or wait for better symbols.

Five columns plus two unlocks

How filled reels expand the Bonus Reels board

The initial play area has five columns and four rows. Filling a complete column unlocks one additional column under the feature rules. This expansion can occur twice, producing a maximum of seven columns by four rows.

An unlocked column provides additional positions for later respins. It does not retroactively add symbols or awards to earlier states. The timing of a fill therefore matters to the number of open positions remaining in the sequence.

Filling the complete possible grid awards 500 coins. That full-grid award is a documented amount inside the feature and must not be confused with the 50,000-coin maximum settlement cap.

More columns create more capacity for values and specialist interactions, but also more spaces that would need to be filled. Expansion is not itself cash and does not guarantee that the new positions will receive symbols before the respin counter expires.

Ordinary and Golden amounts

Coin values and how they enter settlement

Ordinary Bonus symbols display values from one to ten coins. Golden Bonus symbols carry values from 20 to 200 coins. These labels are coin units defined by the selected bet, not fixed New Zealand-dollar amounts.

A visible value can be affected by specialist symbols before final settlement. Payers can add, collectors can gather and snipers can double selected symbols. Reading an interim screen as the final win can therefore overstate or understate what remains to occur.

The feature maximum is 50,000 coins, and the help explicitly equates that to 5,000× the selected bet. For a purely hypothetical $1 selected bet, the scale would be $5,000; that example does not claim an NZD client exists.

Once the cap is reached, the feature ends and pays the capped amount. Further theoretical specialist operations do not raise the settlement above it. This is a coded game limit, separate from any operator withdrawal or account limit.

Order changes the board

Payer, Collector, Sniper, Reset Plus and Necromancer

Payer adds its value to the applicable Bonus symbols. Collector gathers values under the feature rule, while Collector/Payer combines the two behaviours. Because one action can modify values before another gathers them, the displayed sequence is part of settlement.

Sniper selects and doubles between three and eight symbols. It does not double every value automatically. Which targets are chosen and when the action occurs determine its effect on the active board.

Reset Plus increases the starting number of respins by one. It changes the feature's remaining opportunity structure rather than paying a direct coin amount. A longer counter still provides no guarantee that the board will fill.

Necromancer revives between two and seven used non-persistent special symbols. The revived symbols perform their relevant actions again. It does not revive every prior symbol, and its range should not be reported as a fixed seven-action award.

Repeated specialists within one feature

Persistent Payer, Collector and Sniper rules

Persistent Payer, Persistent Collector and Persistent Sniper can act repeatedly under the current feature rules. Their persistence belongs to the active Bonus Reels round and can create several stages of value modification or collection.

Persistent does not mean permanent. None of these symbols becomes an account asset, loyalty feature or saved upgrade for a later paid game. The board and all specialist state end with the current settlement.

When multiple specialists are present, the client animation shows their operational order. Adding all displayed values before those actions finish can produce the wrong total, particularly when payers and snipers alter symbols that a collector later gathers.

The current help names the behaviours but does not publish the probability of receiving each specialist. Demo observation is an unreliable substitute. A small sample cannot establish frequency, and repeated resets do not make a rare specialist due.

Live-help evidence

RTP, house edge and alternative builds

The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 98.00%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 2%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.

Checked mode or routeTheoretical RTPHow to use it
Bonus Reels configuration98.00%Current client config: 6 October 2026

A return of 98.00% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 98.00 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.

Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 98.00% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.

Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.

Distribution, not prediction

Volatility and maximum-win limits

The available first-party and live-help evidence supports a High, as described in the official release record risk profile. Volatility concerns how unevenly the mathematical return is distributed: a volatile game can devote more of its return to uncommon events and leave long stretches with small awards or none. It is not a timetable for a bonus and it does not show that a loss is “due” to reverse.

The current help states that the maximum feature win is 50,000 coins, equal to 5,000× the selected bet. When reached, the feature ends and awards the capped amount. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the scale easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.

A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.

Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.

Read the charged amount

Bet range, optional costs and affordability

The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.10 and maximum of €200. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.

Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.

A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.

Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.

Interface verification

Mobile help and what a demo can prove

The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.

A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.

Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.

If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.

Separate evidence chain

New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo

Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Money Cart 2. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.

Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.

New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.

Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.

Source reconciliation

What the checked sources establish

The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.

The current config verifies 98.00% RTP. The current help verifies the five-by-four start, two unlockable columns, three-spin reset loop, ordinary and Golden values, nine named specialist behaviours, 500-coin full-grid award and the explicit 50,000-coin / 5,000× cap. It documents no separate buy route because Bonus Reels is the game itself.

Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.

The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.

We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.

Two-minute audit

Checklist before relying on this guide

  1. Match the full title Money Cart 2 and developer Relax Gaming.
  2. Confirm game ID moneycart2, help date 6 October 2026 and version not exposed where shown.
  3. Check the layout: Bonus Reels beginning at five columns by four rows and expandable to seven columns by four rows.
  4. Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
  5. Record the active RTP rather than assuming 98.00%.
  6. Recheck the exact maximum wording: 50,000 coins, equal to 5,000x the selected bet.
  7. Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
  8. Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
  9. Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
  10. Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.

If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.
