Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
Groovy Knights Dream Drop is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as groovyknightsdd. The live help we inspected is dated 5 December 2025 and marked version 1.0.6; the official release record dates the game to 25 June 2025. The rules describe five reels, four rows and 20 fixed paylines with moving stacked Wild Knights and the six-tier Dream Drop network. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 94.00%, equivalent to a 6% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.
The documented maximum is 10,000x the total bet. The reference stake range is €0.20 to €100. The risk profile is medium in Relax Gaming's official product record; a published ceiling and return percentage do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

June 2025 release
Release status and exact checked edition
Relax Gaming announced Groovy Knights Dream Drop on 25 June 2025 and lists it in the studio's Own Games catalogue. The full suffix is part of the identity: this is the Dream Drop-connected edition, not a generic medieval slot and not evidence that an unrelated Knight title shares its rules.
The public launcher resolved to game ID “groovyknightsdd.” Its Paytable & Game Rules panel displayed 05/12/2025 and version 1.0.6. That later help record controls the numerical statements here; the launch announcement supplies the date, layout context and first-party volatility label.
The product card gives a reference range of €0.20 to €100 and labels the game medium volatility. Those figures describe Relax's reference material. They do not establish an NZD denomination, a local operator listing or the same client version at every casino.
The game also contains a network jackpot layer whose counters change continuously. We record its rules and contribution, not transient displayed prize values. A screenshot of a current Mega or Major amount would become stale and would not predict the next award.
Twenty fixed lines
How the five-by-four grid evaluates wins
The ordinary grid has five reels and four rows with 20 paylines active. A combination begins on the leftmost reel and continues through matching symbols on adjacent reels along a listed line. Only the longest matching combination for each symbol on a line is paid.
All Wild variants substitute for ordinary paying symbols. A stacked Knight is also a Wild structure, but its feature behaviour depends on whether the complete stack lands or a partial stack is eligible to nudge. A Wild substitution and a feature trigger should therefore be checked separately.
Payline awards from the spin and subsequent Knight sequence belong to one game round. The selected bet locks when the round starts. The final respin multiplier applies to the total round win, including base-game awards, before any remaining evaluation is settled.
The 10,000x ceiling applies when the sum of values reaches that amount. It is an ordinary game-round settlement limit, not the largest Dream Drop prize. The six jackpot tiers follow their own network conditions and verification process.
Walking Wild sequence
Standard Knight respins and second chance
A fully landed Wild Knight stack triggers the Knight Bonus. If a stack lands only partly on the reels, the game can nudge it so that it lands fully. The nudge is a chance-based step; a partly visible character does not guarantee that the feature will begin.
During the sequence, only the top section above the reel containing the Knight spins. Its result can move the Knight one reel left, add one Knight on the rightmost reel, or add 1x, 2x or 3x to the bonus multiplier. A Knight that moves beyond the left edge leaves the grid.
The standard sequence can receive a second chance. When its last standard Knight leaves, another standard Knight may be generated from the rightmost reel. The help says there is a chance, not a guaranteed rescue, so the feature may end without that continuation.
After the top-reel reward is applied, the ordinary reels spin and pay according to the table. Respins can continue while a Knight remains, but “unlimited” describes the absence of a fixed count rather than a promise of indefinite play.
Two Knights meet
Disco Knight creation, expansion and multiplier
When two Knights overlap on one reel—one remains while the other moves left—the pair becomes a Disco Knight stack. That merge changes the top-reel reward table. It is the exact trigger for the enhanced state, not simply landing two Knights anywhere on the screen.
A Disco Knight can move one reel left or right. It can also expand to the neighbouring reel for the triggering spin, becoming a two-reel Wild stack without extending outside the grid. The expansion is temporary unless a later feature result keeps a Knight in play.
Its multiplier results add 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 20x or 100x. The resulting bonus multiplier is applied to the total win for the game round. This is an additive build-up of the displayed round multiplier, not a 100x award paid independently on every result.
The respin feature ends when no Knights remain. The design can produce a long chain, but each movement can also take a Knight off-grid. No previous dry sequence makes a longer future chain more likely.
Six progressive tiers
Dream Drop, Daily timing and contribution
The Dream Drop bonus can trigger before a standard spin when the word “Dream” appears across the top row. After the jackpot bonus resolves, the player returns to the standard spin. The help lists Rapid, Midi, Maxi, Daily, Major and Mega as six separate progressive jackpots.
Twelve percent of the total bet contributes across the jackpot system. Different portions feed the six current values and future seeds. That contribution is already part of the checked 94.00% configuration; it is not an additional fee charged after the displayed total bet.
The Daily prize is scheduled to fall once in each of three eight-hour UTC windows: 22:00–06:00, 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00. Once won in a window, it cannot be won again until the next window. The Major is guaranteed before €50,000, while the Mega ceiling follows a staged network rule capped at €2 million.
The help explicitly says the jackpot cannot be won for fun money. A demo can expose the rules and animated counters but cannot award a real jackpot. Jackpot settlement is subject to operator and supplier verification, territory restrictions and currency reconciliation.
Three entry prices
Single, Double and Disco Knight purchases
Where permitted, the Buy Feature menu offers three entries. The Single Knight option costs 25x the reference bet, Double Knights costs 70x, and the Disco Knight option costs 150x. Activation guarantees the selected Knight-feature entry, not a profitable result.
The help states 94.00% theoretical RTP for each purchase, the same figure printed for the ordinary game. Equal RTP does not mean equal risk: a 150x purchase concentrates much more exposure into one action than a single base spin.
At a hypothetical $1 reference stake, the prices would be $25, $70 and $150. That example only explains the multipliers and does not assert an NZD product. The full purchase amount can be lost, while the 10,000x cap still limits the ordinary game round.
Feature purchases depend on jurisdictional requirements. A missing control is not evidence of a broken game. Check the live operator rules and never use a differently branded clone to bypass a market restriction.
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 94.00%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 6%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Base game in official demo | 94.00% | Verified in help: 5 December 2025 |
| All three Knight purchase routes | 94.00% | Applies only to the documented paid route where available |
A return of 94.00% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 94.00 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 94.00% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
The All three Knight purchase routes is mathematically separate in the checked help: it states 94.00% RTP and costs 25x for one Knight, 70x for two Knights or 150x for a Disco Knight. That route can be unavailable in some markets or excluded by an operator. Its published return does not make the option affordable or reduce the possibility of losing the full price.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
The available first-party and live-help evidence supports a medium in Relax Gaming's official product record risk profile. Volatility concerns how unevenly the mathematical return is distributed: a volatile game can devote more of its return to uncommon events and leave long stretches with small awards or none. It is not a timetable for a bonus and it does not show that a loss is “due” to reverse.
The checked maximum is 10,000x total bet. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the cap easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.20 and maximum of €100. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Groovy Knights Dream Drop. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.
Help v1.0.6 verifies the 20-line grid, nudge rule, standard and Disco Knight reward tables, second chance, final round multiplier, 25x/70x/150x purchases, 94.00% return on every checked route, 10,000x ordinary cap and six-jackpot 12% contribution. The jackpot network is separate from the ordinary cap and is disabled in fun mode.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
Checklist before relying on this guide
- Match the full title Groovy Knights Dream Drop and developer Relax Gaming.
- Confirm game ID groovyknightsdd, help date 5 December 2025 and version 1.0.6 where shown.
- Check the layout: five reels, four rows and 20 fixed paylines with moving stacked Wild Knights and the six-tier Dream Drop network.
- Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
- Record the active RTP rather than assuming 94.00%.
- Confirm whether the cap is 10,000x.
- Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
- Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
- Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
- Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.
If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.

Questions answered
Frequently asked questions
What is the Groovy Knights Dream Drop RTP?
The checked official demo help dated 5 December 2025 states 94.00% for the ordinary game and 94.00% for each of the three documented feature-buy routes.
How do Knight respins begin?
A fully landed Wild Knight stack triggers the Knight Bonus. A partly landed stack can nudge fully into view. The Knight then moves left, adds another Knight or raises the round multiplier according to the top-reel result.
How is the Disco Knight created?
When two Knights overlap on one reel, they merge into a Disco Knight. Its reward reel can move it either way, expand it to two reels or add between 3x and 100x to the round multiplier.
How many Dream Drop jackpots are there?
The checked help lists six progressive tiers: Rapid, Midi, Maxi, Daily, Major and Mega. The total jackpot contribution is 12% of the total bet, and jackpots cannot be won in fun mode.
What is the maximum ordinary-game win?
The help caps the Disco Knight bonus game at 10,000x bet. Progressive jackpot prizes have separate network rules and are not folded into that ordinary-game ceiling.
