Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
Cash in Transit is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as cashintransit. The live help we inspected is dated 26 June 2025 and marked version 1.0.3; the official launch announcement dates the game to 22 April 2025, while the checked help is the later 26 June 2025 v1.0.3 revision. The rules describe five columns and four rows in the base client, expanding by up to two columns during the hold-and-respin Bonus Reels feature. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 96.00%, equivalent to a 4% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.
The checked help expresses one ceiling in two units: 100,000 feature coins, explicitly equivalent to 10,000x the selected bet. If the sum reaches that threshold, the respin round ends and 100,000 coins are awarded. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €100. The risk profile is high in Relax Gaming's official launch announcement; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

April 2025 release
Release status and checked rules build
Relax Gaming launched Cash in Transit on 22 April 2025 and lists it in the in-house catalogue. The official release describes a five-by-four, highly volatile Bonus Reels game. This page does not merge it with Money Cart or any visually similar hold-and-respin title.
The public demo loaded game ID “cashintransit.” Its help panel shows 26/06/2025 v1.0.3, a later revision than launch. The help is the source for all character ranges, the exact action order, RTP and cap wording.
The product record lists cashintransit_94 and cashintransit_86. They establish alternative deployments but do not assign their exact RTP inside the public product card. Only the checked game ID supports the 96.00% figure used here.
The reference stake range is €0.10 to €100. Unlike many Relax releases, the current help does not document a feature-buy route. We preserve that absence rather than borrowing a buy price from another Bonus Reels game.
Three-symbol entry
Bonus Reels trigger and respin counter
Three or more Bonus symbols begin the respin feature. The triggering symbols reveal values or execute their feature actions before the first respin. All values are displayed as coin units during this round.
The counter begins at three. Whenever any new symbol lands, the remaining count resets to three rather than merely adding one. When a respin produces no new symbol, the counter decreases. The feature ends after the counter reaches zero or the cap is hit.
At settlement, the values still present on the grid are summed and paid. Character actions can collect, double, copy or revive values before that final total, so a symbol's displayed value can change several times.
The feature is not a selectable bonus with paylines. Its central question is how values occupy and modify the grid. Base-game artwork and the armoured-van animation do not alter the mathematical trigger.
Five to seven columns
How filling a reel opens more space
The respin starts from five columns and four rows. Filling every position in one reel opens an additional reel. This expansion can occur at most twice in a single round, taking the feature to seven columns.
More positions create room for extra Cash Bags and characters, but expansion does not guarantee that they land. Unlocking a column is a state change inside the current feature, not a cash prize by itself.
Feature symbols remain locked unless a documented effect removes them. The Pawn Broker is the key exception: it gathers Cash Bags, including other Pawn Brokers, and clears those positions while leaving feature characters on the reels.
The two-column limit is important when reading screenshots. A seven-column image is the maximum feature state, not the base layout and not evidence of a separate “super” edition.
One-shot modifiers
Bag Man, Locksmith, Gov'Nor and other actions
A basic Cash Bag reveals 1–10 coins. Bag Man collects all visible values and adds them to his own. Bag Man/Money Man selects three to five targets, adds their values to his, then pays his updated value onto each selected target.
Lock Smith doubles three to eight other symbols and can act on one target several times. Gov'Nor revives two to seven already used non-persistent Bag Man, Bag Man/Money Man, Lock Smith, Detective or Constable actions, and may select one repeatedly.
Detective chooses one random symbol and doubles it two to six times. Constable reveals a 5–100 coin amount, selects one symbol and adds that value three to ten times. Those ranges describe the possible action, not a minimum final feature return.
Pawn Broker removes Cash Bags after collecting them, making space for new landings. The trade-off is structural: cleared value symbols no longer occupy the grid, while retained feature characters can still influence later spins.
Repeated every spin
Persistent characters and the Attack Dog
Persistent Bag Man collects all visible values at the end of the current and every later feature spin, adding them to his own value. The help clarifies that he does not collect his own existing value.
Persistent Lock Smith doubles three to eight targets after each spin and can hit one target repeatedly. Persistent Bag Man/Money Man selects three to five symbols on every spin, adds their values to his and then pays the updated amount to those targets.
Persistent Gov'Nor revives one to seven used non-persistent character actions after each spin. The persistent range begins at one rather than the ordinary Gov'Nor's two. Keeping those versions separate prevents a small but material rule error.
Persistent Attack Dog transforms into a different special character after every spin: Bag Man, Bag Man/Money Man, Lock Smith, Detective or Constable. It does not become Gov'Nor or Pawn Broker under the checked list.
Deterministic sequencing
Action order, coin conversion and cap
When several special symbols need to act, the game resolves them from the top row to the bottom row and, within a row, from left to right. Later characters therefore see values already changed by earlier actions.
Every special symbol except Constable first reveals a value of one coin before performing its action. That base value participates in later collections and modifications unless another feature rule removes the symbol.
The help states a 100,000-coin maximum and explicitly says it equals 10,000x the selected bet. When the accumulated values reach the threshold, the round stops and settles the cap; it does not keep spinning to display a larger theoretical sum.
A “coin” here is a feature accounting unit, not one cent, one NZ dollar or a separate digital token. Its cash conversion depends on the selected stake shown by the client.
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 96.00%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 4%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Base game in official demo | 96.00% | Verified in help: 26 June 2025 |
A return of 96.00% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 96.00 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 96.00% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
The available first-party and live-help evidence supports a high in Relax Gaming's official launch announcement risk profile. Volatility concerns how unevenly the mathematical return is distributed: a volatile game can devote more of its return to uncommon events and leave long stretches with small awards or none. It is not a timetable for a bonus and it does not show that a loss is “due” to reverse.
The checked help expresses one ceiling in two units: 100,000 feature coins, explicitly equivalent to 10,000x the selected bet. If the sum reaches that threshold, the respin round ends and 100,000 coins are awarded. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the scale easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.10 and maximum of €100. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Cash in Transit. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.
Help v1.0.3 verifies the five-by-four starting grid, three-symbol trigger, three-spin reset, two extra-column unlocks, 1–10 Cash Bags, every ordinary and persistent character range, top-to-bottom/left-to-right action order, 96.00% RTP and the equivalence between 100,000 coins and 10,000x selected bet. It contains no Buy Feature rule, so none is claimed. Lower-return IDs are acknowledged without inventing their exact percentages.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
Checklist before relying on this guide
- Match the full title Cash in Transit and developer Relax Gaming.
- Confirm game ID cashintransit, help date 26 June 2025 and version 1.0.3 where shown.
- Check the layout: five columns and four rows in the base client, expanding by up to two columns during the hold-and-respin Bonus Reels feature.
- Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
- Record the active RTP rather than assuming 96.00%.
- Recheck the exact maximum wording: 100,000 coins, explicitly equivalent to 10,000x the selected bet.
- Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
- Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
- Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
- Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.
If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.

Questions answered
Frequently asked questions
What is the Cash in Transit RTP?
The checked official demo help dated 26 June 2025 states a 96.00% theoretical RTP for game ID cashintransit.
How does the Bonus Reels feature begin?
Three or more Bonus symbols trigger three respins. Every newly landed symbol resets the counter to three, and all landed value and feature symbols remain for the round.
How does the grid expand?
Filling a complete reel unlocks one additional column. This can happen twice, so the starting five-column feature can expand to seven columns.
Does Cash in Transit have a bonus buy?
No purchase route appears in the checked v1.0.3 help. This review does not infer one from similar Relax games.
What does the maximum win mean?
The help states a cap of 100,000 coins and explicitly equates it to 10,000x the selected bet. Reaching it ends the respin round.
