Short answer

Evidence-led verdict

Beast Gains is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as beastgains. The live help we inspected is dated 14 April 2026 and marked version 1.1.1; the official release record dates the game to 5 March 2026. The rules describe six reels, four rows, 4,096 ways and cascading wins. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.

The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 96.10%, equivalent to a 3.90% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.

The documented maximum is 25,000x the total bet. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €40. The risk profile is high in Relax Gaming's official release announcement; a published ceiling and return percentage do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.

This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

March 2026 release

Release status and checked game build

Relax Gaming and CasinoGrounds released Beast Gains on 5 March 2026. Relax's own-games record and exact product page establish first-party publication, while the announcement supplies the high-volatility label and 25,000x headline cap.

The operational source is help dated 14 April 2026 and marked v1.1.1, newer than launch. It controls the detailed trigger counts, feature effects, optional route costs and current RTP figures used here.

The game has six reels and four rows. A few third-party pages call it five rows, but the loaded help and product layout support the 6×4, 4,096-ways description.

Reference stakes are €0.10–€40. They are not an NZD promise, and the global demo does not establish that an operator accepts New Zealand players or enables the same purchase controls.

4,096 ways

Ways evaluation, Wilds and cascades

Regular wins connect matching symbols across adjacent reels beginning with reel one. Four positions on each of six reels create 4,096 possible ways. Multiple matching symbols on a reel create additional ways rather than separate fixed lines.

Wilds can appear on reels two through six and substitute for ordinary paying symbols. They do not replace the named Scatter or special feature tokens where the help assigns a separate role.

Winning symbols disappear and replacements cascade into the vacated spaces. More wins can follow from one paid spin, and their feature tokens can continue advancing the trail before the cascade sequence ends.

All cascade awards belong to the initiating round and accumulate under the 25,000x cap. A long chain increases opportunity but does not guarantee a net win or entry to Free Spins.

First token to the end

Feature Trail order and effects

Special tokens advance along the Feature Trail above the reels. The first available feature to reach the final trail position activates. This ordering means several tokens can make progress without every effect firing on the same cascade.

The help lists Mystery, Extra Wild, Explosive Chest, Collectors, Persistent Collector, Coins, Extra Spins, Multiplier Boost and Level Up. Their outcomes modify the current sequence according to the mode in play.

Level Up changes the active bonus tier or feature state; Multiplier Boost advances the relevant multiplier; collectors bank visible coin values. Labels should not be treated as standalone cash awards without the required symbols and state.

Full Trail Bonus is an optional paid route, not a guarantee that every normal spin completes the trail. Its cost is 5x and its checked long-run RTP is 96.10%.

Three trigger tiers

Free Spins count and optional gamble

Three Scatters award six Free Spins, four award eight and five award ten. The trigger also controls the starting tier: larger natural triggers provide stronger access before any gamble decision.

After selecting a bonus mode, eligible entries can be gambled up to two times on a stated 50/50 result to reach a higher level. Five-Scatter entry is already at the highest level and does not need the gamble.

Losing the gamble forfeits the entire feature. This is not a harmless upgrade animation: the already-awarded Free Spins become zero. The player should read that consequence before confirming.

Winning a gamble changes feature conditions but does not raise the game cap or guarantee a positive settlement. The 25,000x limit applies across the complete initiated round.

Persistent reveals

Mystery bonus mode

Mystery symbols can become persistent during this mode. Up to four can be held on a reel, and reel one is excluded from their placement. Those reel limits shape how the held positions can participate in left-to-right ways.

A mystery reveal can produce paying or feature-related symbols under the help rules. Persistence keeps selected positions available between spins, but the revealed outcome still has to form a valid combination.

Extra Wild and Explosive Chest trail effects can strengthen the current setup. They do not remove the random nature of later replacements or ensure the held grid reaches the maximum number of positions.

The mode suits a different distribution from the ladder and coin routes. Calling it “better” would require probabilities the help does not publish, so this guide describes mechanics rather than ranking the choices.

Up to 1,000x

Multiplier ladder bonus mode

The multiplier path advances through displayed steps and can reach 1,000x. Feature Trail boosts and winning activity determine movement under the rules; a high visible step does not create a payout without a qualifying win.

The multiplier modifies eligible feature wins. It is not the maximum-win figure and should not be multiplied again by the 25,000x cap.

Extra Spins extend the opportunity for the ladder to progress, while Level Up can improve starting or current conditions. Neither effect promises that a paying symbol combination will appear afterwards.

Because the feature can concentrate value at late ladder steps, short sessions can vary sharply. That behaviour is consistent with the official high-volatility description but cannot be converted into an exact hit frequency.

Values to 2,500x

Coin Collection and Persistent Collector

Coin symbols can show values from 1x through 2,500x. A displayed coin is potential until a qualifying collector banks it. Adding all visible labels before collection would overstate the settled result.

Collector effects take eligible coin values, while Persistent Collector can remain active between feature spins. When its documented condition is met, it can award two extra spins and continue interacting with subsequent coins.

Coins and multiplier effects belong to different bonus models. A value coin should not be processed through the separate ladder unless the current help explicitly connects the mechanics.

Even the largest 2,500x coin sits inside the round's 25,000x ceiling. Its label is not a probability, and the help does not state a schedule for its appearance or collection.

Four optional routes

Enhanced, Bonus Reels, Full Trail and buy

Enhanced Spins add 50% to the ordinary stake, making the charged total 1.5x. Bonus Reels cost 10x, while Full Trail Bonus costs 5x. The checked help lists 96.10% RTP for all three.

The direct Free Spins purchase costs 85x and uses 96.50% RTP. It removes the need to land a natural trigger but does not guarantee a successful feature gamble, a particular mode outcome or recovery of its price.

Optional routes can be unavailable in some jurisdictions. Confirm the final charged amount and active percentage after the live game loads; do not assume every operator deploys the v1.1.1 configuration.

A difference of 0.40 percentage points is a long-run mathematical distinction, not a session advantage. The 85x upfront cost can still produce a zero or small return, especially in a game officially described as high volatility.

Live-help evidence

RTP, house edge and alternative builds

The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 96.10%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 3.90%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.

Checked mode or routeTheoretical RTPHow to use it
Base game in official demo96.10%Verified in help: 14 April 2026
Buy Feature96.50%Applies only to the documented paid route where available

A return of 96.10% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 96.10 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.

Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 96.10% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.

The Buy Feature is mathematically separate in the checked help: it states 96.50% RTP and costs 85x the regular bet for direct Free Spins. That route can be unavailable in some markets or excluded by an operator. Its published return does not make the option affordable or reduce the possibility of losing the full price.

Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.

Distribution, not prediction

Volatility and maximum-win limits

The available first-party and live-help evidence supports a high in Relax Gaming's official release announcement risk profile. Volatility concerns how unevenly the mathematical return is distributed: a volatile game can devote more of its return to uncommon events and leave long stretches with small awards or none. It is not a timetable for a bonus and it does not show that a loss is “due” to reverse.

The checked maximum is 25,000x total bet. “Times bet” uses the full paid stake for the initiating round, not one coin, one line or the balance. A $1 hypothetical stake makes the cap easy to understand, but it does not assert that NZD play is offered.

A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.

Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.

Read the charged amount

Bet range, optional costs and affordability

The product record gives a reference minimum of €0.10 and maximum of €40. Those euro-denominated figures identify the provider's reference build. They do not promise equivalent NZD controls, and an operator can apply different denominations or account limits.

Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.

A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.

Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.

Interface verification

Mobile help and what a demo can prove

The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.

A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.

Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.

If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.

Separate evidence chain

New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo

Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Beast Gains. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.

Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.

New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.

Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.

Source reconciliation

What the checked sources establish

The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.

We read the full public-demo help dated 14/04/2026. It verifies the 6/8/10-spin trigger table, all-or-nothing 50/50 gamble, nine Feature Trail effects, three selectable bonus models, 1,000x ladder endpoint, coin bands through 2,500x, 96.10% optional-route returns, 96.50% buy return and 25,000x cap.

Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.

The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.

We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.

Two-minute audit

Checklist before relying on this guide

  1. Match the full title Beast Gains and developer Relax Gaming.
  2. Confirm game ID beastgains, help date 14 April 2026 and version 1.1.1 where shown.
  3. Check the layout: six reels, four rows, 4,096 ways and cascading wins.
  4. Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
  5. Record the active RTP rather than assuming 96.10%.
  6. Confirm whether the cap is 25,000x.
  7. Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
  8. Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
  9. Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
  10. Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.

If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.
