Short answer
Evidence-led verdict
Plunderland is a Relax Gaming first-party title identified in the checked demo as plunderland. The live help we inspected is dated 16 August 2025 and marked version 2.0.5; the official release record dates the game to 11 January 2022. The rules describe seven reels and seven rows with cluster-pay evaluation. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.
The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 96.43%, equivalent to a 3.57% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.
The checked help does not state one fixed ordinary-game maximum. Its paytables and any separately documented jackpot rules must therefore be read without inventing a universal cap. The v2.0.5 help does not state a minimum or maximum stake. Product-card currency figures are not treated as verified NZD limits. The risk profile is high, as labelled in the official release record; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.
This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. It does not claim that a New Zealand operator offers the title, that a demo is a local real-money product, or that a displayed euro-denominated reference range will appear as NZD. Those questions require a separate operator and live-client check.

Exact build, launch record and scope
Relax Gaming released Plunderland on 11 January 2022 and lists it in the studio's own-game catalogue. The checked official client uses identifier plunderland. Its current help is dated 16 August 2025 and marked version 2.0.5.
The later help controls the mechanics and mathematical settings in this review. The launch article supplies the release date and high-volatility classification, while descriptive launch copy is not used to fill numerical gaps in version 2.0.5.
The title's rabbit and storybook artwork does not make it a sequel to another Relax rabbit game. Exact product records and the game ID keep this page separate from Napoleon vs Rabbits, Money Cart titles and unrelated cluster releases.
This URL consolidates the cluster rules, White Rabbit movement, multiplier, Free Spins, purchase route, mobile help and evidence limits. There is no separate Plunderland RTP or bonus page competing with the canonical record.
Seven by seven
Five connected symbols create a cluster
Plunderland uses seven reels and seven rows. Wins form from clusters of five or more matching paying symbols rather than paylines or left-to-right ways.
The Wild substitutes for all regular symbols when the game evaluates a cluster. It does not replace Scatter symbols, which have their own collection function.
Only the highest-paying combination for each cluster is paid, while wins from separate clusters are added. A large connected group is therefore settled from its applicable paytable entry rather than repeatedly counted as many overlapping five-symbol groups.
Cluster size and paytable value are distinct from the White Rabbit multiplier. The cluster determines the underlying win; the Rabbit can then alter the award when it participates under its documented rule.
Present on every spin
The White Rabbit Wild moves after cluster wins
The current help guarantees one White Rabbit Wild on every spin. It can land anywhere on the grid except the hot spot in the middle row of reel four.
Whenever a cluster win occurs, the Rabbit moves one step closer to the hot spot whether or not it was part of that cluster. If it shares a row or column with the destination, it moves horizontally or vertically as needed.
When both directions could move it closer, the rules give a 50% horizontal and 50% vertical choice. That probability governs direction in that specific geometry; it is not a 50% chance of reaching the hot spot or producing a win.
The Rabbit can reach the hot spot more than once in the same game round. Each arrival resolves its expansion before the Wild is placed back in another eligible position.
Random size, progressive ceiling
Hot-spot arrival expands the Wild from 2x2 to 5x5
At the start of a spin, the game determines the Wild's expansion size and displays it near the grid. Reaching the hot spot enlarges the White Rabbit to a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5 block according to that state.
The expanded Wild forms part of evaluation and is then removed. A new one is placed at a random eligible position outside the hot spot so the game round can continue.
If the Rabbit reaches the centre again within that round, its available expansion increases to a larger size, up to 5x5. The wording describes progression after repeated arrivals; it does not guarantee that one paid round reaches maximum size.
The help does not publish the probability of each starting size or the expected number of arrivals. Those gaps remain explicit rather than being estimated from a short demo sample.
Participation builds value
The Rabbit multiplier rises by one per included cluster
The White Rabbit begins without an added multiplier. Each cluster win that includes it increases its multiplier by one unit.
The multiplier applies to wins that contain the Rabbit, including when it is in the enlarged hot-spot state. A cluster elsewhere on the board can move the Rabbit but does not raise the multiplier unless the Wild itself belongs to that win.
Movement and multiplier growth are therefore separate rules. Every cluster moves the Wild one step closer; only an included cluster raises its value. Conflating the two would overstate how quickly the multiplier grows.
Within an ordinary game round, the Rabbit retains the multiplier achieved if it returns after expansion. At the next paid round, the ordinary state begins again unless Free Spins persistence is active.
Round-level collection
Three stored Scatters award six Free Spins
Scatter symbols are removed after landing and stored beside the grid. Accumulating three during one game round awards six Free Spins.
The collection can develop through the continuing cluster sequence rather than requiring three symbols to remain on one final static screen. Once the feature is awarded, the stored trigger leads into the Mad Hatter's Free Spins rules.
The checked help specifies six initial spins. It does not state a larger award for more than three stored Scatters and does not publish a trigger probability.
Scatter collection is not affected by Wild substitution. The White Rabbit cannot stand in for a missing Scatter, and its multiplier does not multiply the number of awarded spins.
Two persistent upgrades
Expansion size and multiplier carry between Free Spins
Free Spins begins with the hot-spot expansion at 2x2. Each time the Rabbit reaches the centre, the available size increases, up to 5x5, and does not reset to 2x2 between spins.
The White Rabbit multiplier also persists for the entire feature. Each cluster that includes the Wild increases it by one, and the accumulated value carries to later Free Spins.
Those two progressions remain separate: reaching the hot spot advances expansion size, while participating in a cluster advances the multiplier. A spin can affect one, both or neither depending on the actual sequence.
Persistence makes later feature states potentially different from the first, but six spins do not guarantee maximum expansion, a high multiplier or any particular return.
Optional 70x route
The Buy Feature guarantees the Scatter trigger
Where enabled, the purchase costs 70 times the regular bet. It guarantees three Scatter symbols and entry to the six-spin Free Spins round.
The help states 97.14% theoretical RTP for this paid route, compared with 96.43% for ordinary play. The higher long-run percentage does not make a 70x transaction low risk.
The purchase does not guarantee a Rabbit arrival at the hot spot, a 5x5 expansion, multiplier growth or a profit. The entire 70x price is exposed to the feature outcome.
Market and operator controls can remove the purchase. Its visibility in the supplier demo is not proof that the option or the game is offered to a New Zealand account.
Live-help evidence
RTP, house edge and alternative builds
The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 96.43%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 3.57%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.
| Checked mode or route | Theoretical RTP | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Base game in official demo | 96.43% | Verified in help: 16 August 2025 |
| Buy Free Spins | 97.14% | Applies only to the documented paid route where available |
A return of 96.43% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 96.43 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.
Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 96.43% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.
The Buy Free Spins is mathematically separate in the checked help: it states 97.14% RTP and costs 70x the selected regular bet. That route can be unavailable in some markets or excluded by an operator. Its published return does not make the option affordable or reduce the possibility of losing the full price.
Do not infer RTP from a demo balance, one successful bonus, a streaming clip or a site's headline card. A random sample cannot identify the configured model reliably. The useful audit record is the exact title, visible game ID or version, displayed RTP, date and operator client captured together.
Distribution, not prediction
Volatility and maximum-win limits
Relax Gaming's 11 January 2022 release labels Plunderland high volatility. The current help publishes no numerical volatility index, hit rate, expansion-size probabilities or feature frequency.
The current help does not publish a single fixed ordinary-game cap. That evidence gap must remain separate from moving progressive prizes and promotional maximum-win copy. If a deployed operator client states a cap, record that exact build and the unit it uses rather than importing a number from another source.
A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.
Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. A lower stake repeated rapidly can expose more money than a higher stake used briefly. Decide the total acceptable loss before opening the game, then use account limits and breaks rather than chasing a feature.
Read the charged amount
Bet range, optional costs and affordability
Confirm currency, total stake and Buy Feature availability in the exact deployed client. The FUN-credit demo does not establish New Zealand denominations or operator-level limits.
Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.
A useful pre-session calculation is total bet multiplied by the maximum number of rounds you are prepared to buy, assuming the entire amount can be lost. For a feature purchase, treat the whole displayed price as exposed at once. Do not finance a purchase by increasing the base stake after losses.
Promotional funds do not change the slot's RTP. Wagering requirements, game contribution, maximum-bet rules and cash-out limits sit in the operator's terms. Check them independently, because a bonus can make an otherwise permitted game or stake ineligible.
Interface verification
Mobile help and what a demo can prove
The official web demo loaded a responsive game client and exposed the title, help date, version, rules and return information used here. On a phone, locate the menu, information icon, total bet, balance and paytable before considering a paid round. If text is clipped, rotate the device or expand the help rather than relying on a search result.
A demo can demonstrate symbol movement, feature order, mode selection and interface controls with valueless credits. It cannot establish that a real-money operator accepts players in New Zealand, that the operator uses the same game ID, or that its active RTP matches the demo.
Demo results also cannot validate the long-run RTP. Ten, one hundred or even thousands of observed spins are a noisy sample, especially in a volatile game. A large demo win is not a prediction for paid play and a dry demo sequence is not proof that the published mathematics is wrong.
If desktop and mobile help disagree, pause. Record the exact URL or operator, title, mode, help version and percentages. The mismatch can indicate a cached client, a market build or an update. Current deployed help is stronger evidence than an undated review, but conflicting clients still need clarification.
Separate evidence chain
New Zealand access is not inferred from the demo
Relax Gaming's own-games catalogue and public demo show that the studio publishes Plunderland. They do not show that a named operator lawfully offers it to a person in New Zealand. Studio publication, aggregation, operator inventory, territorial access and legal status are separate claims.
Before any real-money use, verify the operator's identity, current New Zealand terms, age and location controls, payments, withdrawals, complaints, account limits and self-exclusion tools. A localised page, NZD wallet or country flag is not on its own regulatory proof.
New Zealand's online-gambling position is time-sensitive. Check the Department of Internal Affairs player guidance and our dated legal-status guide at the point of use. This review is about one game's rules and does not provide legal advice.
Even after an operator check, inspect the live game help. A valid operator relationship does not prove the highest RTP, and the right RTP does not prove operator status. Keeping both questions separate prevents a global demo from becoming an unsupported availability claim.
Source reconciliation
What the checked sources establish
The official product page establishes first-party authorship, public release status, layout, reference bets, headline features and the supported market game IDs. The loaded demo supplies the stronger operational evidence for rules, version, displayed RTP, purchase route and win-cap wording.
The loaded help verifies the 7x7 cluster model, guaranteed White Rabbit Wild, hot-spot movement, random 2x2–5x5 expansion, Wild multiplier, stored Scatter trigger, persistent Free Spins upgrades and 70x purchase. It does not state a formal round cap, stake range or NZ operator access.
Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
The evidence was checked on 6 October 2026. The date matters: Relax can update a client or product card, and operators can retain another certified build. Future checks should start with the deployed help and compare its identifier, version and return with this record.
We do not add a hit rate, feature frequency, universal volatility score, New Zealand operator claim or exact alternative RTP unless the checked first-party material supports it. An explicit evidence gap is preferable to a precise-looking number copied from another release.
Two-minute audit
Checklist before relying on this guide
- Match the full title Plunderland and developer Relax Gaming.
- Confirm game ID plunderland, help date 16 August 2025 and version 2.0.5 where shown.
- Check the layout: seven reels and seven rows with cluster-pay evaluation.
- Read feature triggers, reset rules and settlement order in the live help.
- Record the active RTP rather than assuming 96.43%.
- Confirm whether the deployed help states an ordinary cap; preserve the gap if it does not.
- Read the displayed total stake after enabling any option.
- Verify operator identity and New Zealand access independently.
- Check promotional terms separately from game mathematics.
- Set money and time limits that remain acceptable if no feature arrives.
If the live help differs, use that deployed build and send the title, game ID, version, date and screenshot through our corrections process. That evidence lets us update one canonical review without creating duplicate RTP or bonus pages.

Questions answered
Frequently asked questions
What is the Plunderland RTP?
The checked v2.0.5 help dated 16 August 2025 states 96.43% for ordinary play and 97.14% for the optional 70x Buy Feature.
How do wins form in Plunderland?
Five or more matching symbols connected in a cluster form a win on the 7x7 grid. Separate winning clusters are added and only the highest-paying combination for each cluster is settled.
Is the White Rabbit Wild guaranteed?
Yes. The current help says one White Rabbit Wild lands every spin outside the central hot spot and moves one step closer whenever a cluster win occurs.
How are Free Spins triggered?
Three Scatter symbols accumulated across one game round award six Free Spins. The Scatter symbols are removed and stored after landing.
Does Plunderland have a stated maximum win?
The v2.0.5 help inspected for this review does not state one formal game-round win cap. This page does not import a cap from launch copy or another build.
