The rules describe six reels by four rows with 4,096 ways. Those identifiers matter because lower-return builds and market-specific clients can share the same artwork.

The checked help states a theoretical RTP of 96.2%, equivalent to a 3.80% theoretical house edge. That is the figure for the client opened during this review, not proof that every operator deploys the same build. Relax's product record lists alternative game IDs, so the percentage inside the exact live client remains the controlling value.

The checked help does not state one fixed ordinary-game maximum. Its paytables and any separately documented jackpot rules must therefore be read without inventing a universal cap. The reference stake range is €0.10 to €20. The risk profile is high, as stated in the official release; return and prize information do not predict whether a feature or large award will occur in a session.

This page confirms studio authorship, current help text and public release status. This page covers game ID ironbank, released 5 November 2020 and created by Relax Gaming with CasinoGrounds. The existing Iron Bank 2 review covers ID ironbank2 and a materially expanded 2025 ruleset.

The original uses one base game followed by a choice among three Free Spins systems. The sequel adds selectable base modes and Standard, Super and Ultra bonus tiers; importing those options here would be inaccurate.

The product page gives €0.10–€20 reference stakes and mentions a German 90% build. The current unsuffixed config states 96.2%, but neither figure is universal across every operator.

The help package exposes no version date. This audit records the ID, source URLs and 6 October 2026 check instead of fabricating a build label.

Six by four

4,096 ways and ordinary symbol evaluation

The original Iron Bank uses six reels and four rows, producing 4,096 ways. Matching symbols pay on adjacent reels from the left under the ways model.

Wilds substitute for normal symbols under the paytable. The distinctive Mystery, expanding and multiplier behaviours belong to the selected feature route rather than every base spin.

Three or more Bonus symbols open the selection screen. Additional Bonus symbols also carry their own stated cash awards.

The base game and the 100× purchase have separate configured returns. The higher purchase RTP does not reduce the amount exposed in one decision.

Feature entry and direct trigger awards

Three Bonus symbols award the Free Spins choice. Four also award 20× stake, five award 200× and six award 2,000× under current help.

Those multipliers are trigger awards, not starting multipliers applied to every feature win. The selected mode then follows its own rules.

The 100× purchase opens the same choice screen and carries a current configured RTP of 97%. Availability can be removed by market or operator.

Sticky Mystery Symbol route

The Mystery route starts with 8 Free Spins and randomly chooses one regular symbol as the special sticky type.

When that symbol lands on reels 2–6, it converts into a persistent Mystery position after its initial pay evaluation. All stored Mystery positions reveal the same symbol on each spin.

If an entire reel fills with persistent Mystery symbols, the game adds 1 Free Spin. This extension depends on filling the reel, not merely placing one Mystery tile.

The initially landing symbol can pay before conversion, followed by a new evaluation after the Mystery reveal. That ordering prevents one event from being silently counted only once.

Ten Free Spins

Expanding Wild respins and growing multipliers

The expanding route awards 10 Free Spins. Wilds on reels 3 and 4 expand to fill their reel and award a respin.

Every win involving an expanded Wild increases its multiplier by 1. Respins continue while a win occurs or a second Wild lands in the marked area.

If both expanded Wilds contribute to the same award, their displayed multipliers both apply. This can amplify a win but does not guarantee that both Wild reels appear.

The respin sequence remains part of one feature route; it is not a separate paid round or proof of the product's headline maximum.

Twelve Free Spins

Progressive Multiplier Collect route

The collection route awards 12 Free Spins. Coconut crates on reels 2–5 add between 1 and 3 coconuts to the meter above that reel.

Every two coconuts increase the associated reel's Wild multiplier by 1 and advance the red progression meter by one notch.

Filling all three red notches awards 3 more Free Spins and resets that progression meter. Multiplier progress remains tied to its reel.

When several multiplier Wilds contribute to a win, their values combine under the help rules. Current help does not turn the dated 49,998.9× headline into a verified hard cap.

RTP, house edge and alternative builds

The information panel in the checked official demo states “the theoretical return to player for this game is 96.2%.” Subtracting that value from 100% gives a theoretical house edge of 3.80%. Both numbers describe the same long-run mathematical relationship from opposite directions; they are not separate charges and they are not a forecast for a deposit.

A return of 96.2% means that across the model's very large test horizon, average awards correspond to 96.2 units for every 100 units staked. It does not mean a player receives that percentage back after 100 spins. High variation, rare features and capped awards can produce short samples far above or below the designed average.

Alternative game IDs are material even when their exact returns are absent from the public product card. A casino can deploy a lower-RTP build under the same consumer title. We therefore do not label 96.2% “universal” or “guaranteed.” Open the information control in the operator client and look for the percentage after the game has loaded.

The Buy Feature is mathematically separate in the checked help: it states 97% RTP and costs 100× the reference bet. That route can be unavailable in some markets or excluded by an operator. Its published return does not make the option affordable or reduce the possibility of losing the full price.

Relax's official 2020 release classifies Iron Bank as high volatility. The three selectable routes redistribute feature risk differently, but no route turns the game into a predictable or low-risk product.

The current help does not publish a single fixed ordinary-game cap. That evidence gap must remain separate from moving progressive prizes and promotional maximum-win copy. If a deployed operator client states a cap, record that exact build and the unit it uses rather than importing a number from another source.

A cap is a settlement limit, not a realistic session target. It provides no countdown, hit schedule or evidence that raising the stake improves the chance per dollar. Previous non-winning spins do not move a random future result closer to the cap. Treat every paid round as new exposure.

Practical risk is also shaped by total stake, spin speed, feature purchases, enhanced-spin options and session length. Always read the total bet immediately before a paid action. The interface can show denomination, level, lines and total stake separately. Enhanced spins or bonus-reel options may increase the price of a round, while a feature purchase can cost many multiples of the base stake. The amount leaving the balance is the relevant measure.

Third-party reviews were used to find frequent questions and contradictions, not to override the live help. Competitors often print only the largest cap, omit the selected mode, describe alternative IDs as exact RTPs without a source, or treat global demo access as operator availability.
